About This Game

Explore five different worlds, fight their monstrous inhabitants and try to survive and find an ancient artifact to save the world from destruction.
For every game session, the game will create new environments full of challenges and surprises, populated with monsters and ancient magical artifacts.

There are eight different player classes, each one designed with a unique playing style. Some of them are combat-focused, others have access to magic spells in 4 different schools of magic while others must rely on their special martial skills to survive.

As you advance through the game, you will find over 40 different types of monsters with distinct skills and abilities, you will be able to charm them using magic spells and make them join your quest. By using some of the ancient magic found in the dungeon, you can unlock more advanced forms of their powers and skills.

The game keeps track of your adventures on its online server, sharing the in-game events with your friends in real time, maintaining a leaderboard of the most successful heroes as well as a graveyard of memorable characters which you can share in social media.

Unfortunately, felt like a pretty bland, generic roguelike. Nothing new and entertaining. Spawn, advanture, die, repeat. No real hook.. Mechanics pretty good. But the game is lacking animations. Good game! Addictive, well polished, oldschool roguelike with good graphics and a good interface. A lot of fun to play. Check it out, especially if you love oldschool roguelikes.. I've followed Ananias from its earliest days and have long been a fan. Not only is it a great, simplified roguelike experience, but Slashie continues to improve the game long past its release date. I only recently picked it up on Steam, having played it for hours via the mobile browser, but I'm enjoying the desktop experience and highly recommend it to roguelike fans!. To simple.

There are a few magics that is rly simplistic, deal damage, heal you, confuse enemy, restore durability on items, increase max hp (permantly, scroll only i guess).

a few potions like heal pot restore magic pot etc..

The problem is that first magics dose 50-200dmg for 4mana (you restore half your mana after evry lev) so if you have big enuff mana pool u can pritty mutch cast magics on all the dangers and use other stuff to deal with the rest (prob melee) (havent played to far but it might also turn out in spells become to expensive and you make cast 1-5 per level and have to lev up your melee and focus on melee)

this ends up in seeing no real value off taking non caster class (they may have harder time getting broken armor\/wep) but dont add alot to the end char that a magic user cant be..

most melee start with 2-3 in might, casters start with 1 (after one lev that can be 3) melee start with 44-48?hp casters start with 40..hardly any diffrense..makes more diffrence if u lucky with + perma hp scrolls...the only real diffrense is evasion (fighters start with 5-15% and casters 5% (this seems to be best use of starting points) but thats 10% evasion or having a spell that can insta kill most things ?`i\u00b4ll go with second...

i know this may be focused on a more casual players but like a ToME fan i cant enjoy it sadly. The game at 1st I thought was bad. But i kept coming back to play here and there, My highest character was like a lvl 13 with my side beast evolved into a freaking werewolf, that hit 30-40's I was swinging 60+, i sadly just got mobbed. It was a pain keeping the beast alive basicly flee stay never fight to keep him alive. great game I got it on steam wondering how i can get it on my iphone???? any help there?. A good middle-ground Roguelike with an excellent User Interface. While it's not incorrect to call it a simplified Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, it also isn't simplified at the cost of fun or depth.

Ananias is extemely accessible and quick to get started with an interface that is clear, concise and doesn't leave you with a lot of questions as to how the game operates. You'll be playing in seconds.

Procedural dungeons and multiple classes should provide a decent amount of replayability. Online leaderboards let you compare your overall achievements with a community.

This is a roguelike that tried to streamline the process of playing by allowing quicker movement between rooms whenever enemies aren't present. While leveling is streamlined as well and based simply on making it to the next foor, players still have a wealth of weapons, equipment, familiars(pets), bandages mixable potions and more to give more player-choice. Leveling-up also comes with a choice of how one wishes to build their character as you delve deeper into the dungeon.

For $4.99US, I think this is a fun contribution to the roguelike genre that does a great job of being a little simpler than a "hardcore" roguelike, but not at the expense of fun - and it still has some welcome RPG-like depth
