Explore your home while rediscovering the truth about a past relationship. It's part "living journal" and part sci-fi. Very immersive. I look forward to seeing more from this developer.. Played through the whole game in about an hour. Didn't understand the sticknote mechanics at first (hint you need to stick them on the pegboard). Lost one item under a pile of stuff but otherwise the game worked well. Interesting story, not so satisfying ending but otherwise an interesting experience.. I couldn't get a key item to become useable to progress. The main menu is long and difficult to use. You're stuck while important narration occurs, so every time I restarted the game I had to sit through the same scene. There's physics issues (There was a bowl of fruit that was rolling around. One playthrough an orange was rolling around in the bathroom. How did it get there? One of life's little mysteries.) There's tons of stuff all over the apartment, but it looks like most of it can't be used. On key items, a sticky note appears. On my playthroughs the sticky note became stuck to my controller and wouldn't come off. Overall mildly frustrating. I gave up on it after the third attempt to progress.. The story seems intriguing, but the game is difficult to play due to how glitchy it is. The first time around I was suddenly unable to interact with most objects, so I had to start over. This time, the game crashed because a paper got stuck in a drawer that I had just closed! I was also stuck with only being able to rotate an item that I was examining on one axis, which, if by design, doesn't seem very intuitive. For instance, I picked up a note, but was only able to rotate it left and right - this meant that, due to the starting position of the object, I wasn't able to actually get a better loot at it whatsoever. I don't know, maybe it works better in VR? Still, I can't recommend the game in its current state - at least not for non-VR - and it doesn't seem like it's getting updated either, which is a shame, because it could certainly have needed another patch or two. I will probably give the game another chance at some point, and if it decides to be more cooperative I will udpated this review.. Found the game today while looking for some story-driven game for my Vive. Was pleasantly surprised! Although the game is short it's well done and I liked it a lot. In my opinion worth the money. Pros: - Good (multi-layered) story - Interesting setting - Hints at what is going on are well done without spoiling anything; they just get you to think about the possibilities. - Graphics are quite good - Sound is well done (- I like how the letters are projected into the game environment.) Cons: - Short (1h?) - Some minor bugs (e.g. menu and or game graphics doubled for some reason which led to lags - a quick restart of the level did the trick) - Game mechanics are not explained well enough - or I somehow managed to completely ignore every instruction ever: 1 I only found the projection of the letters by accidentally looking around while reading a letter up close. 2 It was pure chance that I pressed on the sticky notes to connect them. 3 Very irritating despawn of a game item. you grab it and only after letting it go again the story continues? - and then, while the item despawns you are told to use it. I know the game did it before and a click is enough, but. I don't know maybe it's because I expected the large item to be used physically. anyways, I restarted the scene twice because I didn't immediately understand whether that was supposed to happen.. The graphics and soundtrack were great. The story telling however is all over the place with a very random ending that had nothing to do with the events prior to it. I still don't really understand the story. The game has quite a few annoying but not game breaking bugs as well. For the price though I still recommend it.. Short but great game with amazing graphics! Very much worth the price!. Elena is an adventure title that tells the story of the lady who's searching for his missing husband. It is a title that is compatible with the HTC Vive VR headset,but can also be played without one. Elena features minimal gameplay, and the story is illustrated through dialogues, the environments and in textual form. There is literally no action in this game as well. Player will be exploring the house to search for clues to learn where his missing husband is, and connecting the clues to learn what has really happened, as things are not as simple as she has originally though. This game last between 45 minutes to under 2 hours, and thus it is a pretty short game, so player may want to adjust their expectation. There are some minor glitches in VR mode, so hopefully the dev will goes to fix them. While most items can be picked up, they can't really be interacted in anyway.
