Every game leading up to this has had me extremely excited, I spent hundreds of hours in Just cause 2 on my old Xbox, had endless amount of fun in with Just cause 2 multiplayer. I awaited Just cause 3 every single day, searched through youtube for any rumours confirming the third game, and then when it finally arrived I was ecstatic. After years of enjoying these wonderful games, they instantly throw away everything that made them so great. At best this is a re-skin of Just cause 3, more prone to crashing, buggier, and not only that but holyu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665is this game boring. Nothing makes me want to return to it, car chases end too quickly, no story characters to care for (I didn't expect this from a just cause game, the fun lies in the chaos and destruction) and its like it is trying to pull you away from the fun free-roaming with another boring transporting an NPC mission. "Blow up X", "Transport Y", "Kill Z" over and over again. This game had so much potential, all down the drain. I must however give credit where it is due. They got the destruction right, the graphics looks stunning, guns feel meh, but all the fun is gone. The current price of the game is absolutely too high for something that resembles a mod you could download from the Nexus. 3/10 Edit: It seems that the developers at least care, It does put a smile on my face that they at least care! Nice job team.. Just play Just Cause 3. This game felt like a downgrade from 3 so I had to get my money back.. I wouldn't care about the sub par graphics if the game was actually stable. The gameplay is actually quite fun but the game crashes every 5-10 mins making it almost impossible to play.. JC4 MADE ME BUY JC2 Pros: - Cool tethers - Good map design - Some Good ideas for Vehicles (****in' love the crane man) - The temple quests are cool and give a more in-depth backstory to the location than before Cons: - Buggy for many people even 6 months after release - PC Port is terrible (UI is overcomplicated and just plain annoying) - VEHICLE CONTROLS ARE STILL AWFUL AND PLAYING WITH A CONTROLLER DOES NOT MAKE THEM BETTER - Why cant you just have GTAV-like vehicle controls (Still the best feeling keyboard vehicle controls that i have used) - Motorbikes are still undrivable with a keyboard or controller (input is super slow and annoying) - The water graphics were so much better in JC3 - also river water (there were no rivers in JC3) has no physics and feels like a Lego game from 2010. - Liberation is gone - there is no point in destructibles any more. - side quests are simple, repetitive and useless - Main Quests are worse - I miss my jetpack - Take me Home, Country Roads Conclusion: Avalanche Studios and SE don't care about the PC JC community anymore. Don't buy this game unless they re-release it in 2030 as "JC4 Remastered-but-its-good-this-time" and let Rockstar publish it.. I love the Just Cause franchise. When I played Just Cause 2, I gravitated to the amazing gameplay, and the awsom destruction. Just Cause 3 gave me more amazing gameplay, crisp graphics, great dlc that added on to the game, au2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665ton of toys, and an environment that feels realistic. When Just Cause 4 was announced, I pressed the preorder button immediatly. But when I got the game, I was hella dissapointed. You see, every game, the developers add a really cool gameplay mechanism that changes how we play the game. The problem is that the gameplay mechanism, is nothing more than a u2665u2665u2665u2665ing gymmic! All we get is just a tornado and grapple hook options. Both dont really change the game. The one good thing I can say about this game is that the environments and models are so good to look at, I deleted my hentai folder and replaced it with my screenshots of Just Cause 4. But thats the only good thing I can say about this game. Shame on you square enix.. Really disappointing compared to JC 1 2 and 3.. This game is a massive step back from previous games. It feels as if they decided that what would make the game better would be to remove most of what made the previous games good and keep all the bad. I won't bore you with repeating what everyone is is saying about the shameful graphics, textures, game-play, quests, etc. It is basically all true even after all the patches. Even the little things, like immersion, were completely disregarded in this games. For example, in JC3 in order to access the supply drop menu, skills, map, etc, Rico would pull out a tablet in-game to view these things. However, in JC4 they removed this and replaced it with what amounts to little more than a glorified options menu. This is just one of many decisions they made which completely ruin the immersion. Sorry, but there is no just cause for buying this game.
