This was kind of a lazy attempt at VR, You primarily control this game with the movement of your head and plays similarly to a point and click adventure game, you hop from character to character by controlling their minds without any real movement through the levels; you also cant see your character's hands can be disorienting at times.. I'm so glad this game was finally released for PC so I don't have to buy a PSVR! Double Fine did a great job creating a unique VR game for one of my favorite franchises.. I wouldn't have expected my initial favorite VR game to be a point-and-click, but it is. Despite only being 3 hours this is game that you owe to yourself to play if you own a VR set. The puzzles are on the easy side, but everything else is on point. Fantastic setting, voice acting, music, character and aesthetic. I haven't played the original psychonauts, but I'm definitely going to now and I can't wait for psychonauts 2.. A bit short, especially given that a lot of time is wasted waiting for those fishes to get into place. And the fact most just disappear when teleporting was a bit immersion breaking for me. But the impression of being in the game was really cool, especially when switching to a big creature (whale) or a small one (sandwich crab). US$20 might be a bit high given the length. But if you can afford it or if you can get it for half that, definitely check it out.. I enjoyed Rhombus of Ruin. The characters, voice acting, and story are all awesome. It has many interesting mechanics and compelling puzzles. Not every puzzle feels rewarding, and sometimes the pacing isn't perfect, but as a whole package I highly recommend the game for its style and execution. For the cost of going to the theaters, you get an intriguing interactive VR experience that's about the length of a long movie.. I never wrote a review before but for this really fun and creative game I will. A lot of effort went into this gem and it's well worth buying. I hope this company will make more VR games soon.
