About This Game

Roof Rage is a fast paced, easy to pick, hard to master, platform fighter.



It is both a party game and a competitive game for platform fighter's players.
The scale and speed of Roof Rage allows you to be creative, always producing new combos and pushing the gameplay a little bit further.
With the last 3 characters added since the release, the game now has 11 characters, each one offering a unique playstyle.
You can pick and throw roof tiles, catch them, deflect your opponent's projectiles, wave-dash, parry and smash attack for a finishing move.
Pick your stage among 11 iconic, cultural inspired, rooftops.

CONS:
-Aerial combat is almost the entire focus, making ground combat a nearly pointless endeavor.
-Anti-air options in most characters are floaty and ineffective, leading to a frantic struggle to jump higher than the other player and dunk them offscreen. every fight feels like this. Entire fights are just floating around hoping to land a hit.
- Heavy characters are just as light as light characters, making their playstyle pointless. No hard hitter should be featherlite. Character weight is also impossible to tell in the first place, as they are all the same size and build.
- Sprites dont seem to adhere to a model at all. Characters swell and deflate at will. A fallen character looks gigantic, but on standing, shrinks.
- gravity and reaction to impact is completely arbitrary.
- Recovery moves do not function consistently. An up-special recovery sometimes makes you stagnate in midair with no recovery, (namely Hoon's hurricane kick) or shoot up offscreen to your instant death.

PROS:

- Character movelists are expansive and versatile (in theory), and draw heavy inspiration from fighting game tropes. Many playstyles feel familiar and comfortable, when they work.
- Everything combos into everything. Incredibly fluid. When it works.
- The art direction is incredibly pleasing to look at. Feels like an old Sega Genesis game.
