A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero Spider-Man. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May, under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark. Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine - distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man - but when the Vulture emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
After Captain America: Civil War (2016), Peter Parker, The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, is patiently waiting for Tony Stark to give him a mission where he can help out as best as he can manage. Balancing everyday life as Peter Parker alongside being Spider-Man is a daunting task for The Wall Crawler and it starts taking its toll when Parker encounters a gang of underground thugs selling Chitauri-based weapons for a mysterious villain known as The Vulture.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is the 6th live action adaptation of the popular comic book superhero and third reboot we have gotten, as well as the 16th entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Peter Parker must try to balance his high school life with being Spider-Man while the Vulture (Michael Keaton) is on the loose.

I've been a fan of Spider-Man for a long time. I grew up playing Maximum Carnage on Super Nintendo, and watched the original Say Raimi trilogy. I like the first one, love the second one, but when Spider-Man 3 came out it's more of a mixed bag, and the other two after that don't really count in my opinion. I can say this is definitely the best Spider-Man film since Spider-Man 2.

What I really liked was that this was essentially a high school teen comedy with Spider-Man. It was interesting to see Peter Parker trying to balance his life as a superhero. He has hardships in his personal life, he has hardships as Spider-Man. He wants to impress Tony Stark so that he can become an Avenger. It was an interesting way to go about things. It wasn't an origin story, thank god. How boring would that have been if Uncle Ben had died again in this reboot? We don't have to see that all over again for the third time. I'm glad they steered clear of that.

The Vulture was a solid villain played brilliantly by Michael Keaton. I don't think he was one of the best villains of the MCU like people have said but he was functional and fun to watch.

The side characters were really good, but there was one thing with one character at the end that didn't really sit well with me. They made her a character from the comics and I didn't really buy it.

Overall I'm going to give "Spider-Man: Homecoming" an A-

I was really positive about this movie after the seemingly unending river of praise that flowed towards it. I mean even the people at Cracked liked it for crying out loud! But please don't be fooled. This movie is just boring, poorly acted and full of nonsense even for a comic book-based flick. Oh, and the writing, I guess too many cooks spoil the script (12 of them to be precise). And also even the visuals were not THAT good - it's 2017, darn it! Overall I think it's safe to say that this is not even YA movie, it's a preteen movie. Like if you are around the age of the protagonist (e.g. 15) you'll *probably* enjoy it. But even then, if you even remotely compare this to Iron Mans, or even the Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy it just falls painfully short. “Homecoming” works by allowing itself to become an actual genre film, the first of its ilk to recognize that superhero movies might be more interesting if they were also something else.
Yes. The film opens with some home movies Peter made about his trip to Berlin. The main villain is "The Vulture" (Michael Keaton). The Vulture is a classic villain from the original Marvel comic books and was originally going to appear in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 4" before that sequel was scrapped. Yes, there's a mid-credit scene that sets up "The Sinister Six" and an inconsequential snippet with Captain America at the very end of the credits.
