First of WOW this game is fun,funny,Challenging and CHEAP. Well worth $5.00.It looks like SNES game but plays like a NES game.The music and sound effects fit the game.It is a must have. Did I mention that it is funny. I almost split a rib with the opening scene.I did a test\/review video on this game. I picked this game to be the first of my review videos for a reason.It need more love.Everone needs to check this one out.I see very good things to come with this developer in the future.. Great concept, horrible controls. I would have loved this if the controls werent so broken.. The game is really easy to get in, but later stages are definitely hard... for a Dark Souls fan like me, this game is offering a real challenge and feels very rewarding.

The controls are simple and responsive, the fights are fast and the sound effects very satisfying!

For such a low price, definitely recommended!. Although i think the controls are god awful, the game it self is pretty good.
You definitley need a controller if you want to keep your sanity.
game is very basic, and considering what i got for one dollar, id say im pretty happy.

From a graphic and technical point of view, A Bloody Night does not need many words and the best description is all contained in the images accompanying the review. The pixel art is certainly not the most refined, the decorative tinsel are almost absent and even the animations lend the side to some criticism, as already written in the article. Some positive ideas come from the scenarios , embellished by an unexpected destruction of the environments - some simple element, like trees or rocks - and by a sufficient variety, and also by a massive presence of blood, violence and gore, which translates into pixelated sketches of blood substances throughout the screen. Finally, the musical accompaniment in 8-bit, transported with a time machine from 1988 to 2017....yes i recomend this gem game to my friends!!. What a hidden gem. The more I play it the more I appreciate the thought that went into it. There were alot of moments where I thought "that's badly designed" but then I'd see what the developer was doing and then I'd think "interesting".

For example when I first encoutered a barrel and my gamer instinct compelled me to break it for turkey I found my first strike was too high to hit it. Frustrating, but then I did hit it and it exploded. Your first strike is high on purpose because later you face enemies surrounded by those barrels. Now I wouldn't describe the design as intuitive but if you pay attention you'll get the sense every element has been carefully considered.

I have one major complaint though and that's with the mini-games. They are so lame. And you need to beat them to get essential power-ups. Not essential for beating the game but essential for enjoying the game. Playing those last levels without the dark soul would have been so tedious that if I'd failed at getting it this review might be red instead of blue.

Anyways, great game. Certainly worth five dollars. And I'd be very intereseted in playing Emanuele Leoncilli's next game.

Cheers. VERY fun and well made little hack&slash platformer. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
While it certainly has some challenging parts, it never felt unfair. I always could improve and learn from my mistakes.
But make sure to get the bonus level rewards, because without them it may get brutally hard.^^
Oh, and it's best played with a controller (I used an Xbox360 one).. Amazing hidden gem!

This game is much deeper and complex than it may seems.

A mandatory purchase for all players who are still looking for difficult but rewarding challenges. 9\/10
