When she left Earth, Ellen Ripley promised her daughter Amanda she would return home for her 11th birthday. Amanda never saw her again.

Fifteen years later, Amanda, now a Weyland-Yutani employee, hears that the flight recorder of her mother’s ship, the Nostromo, has been recovered at the remote trading station Sevastopol. The temptation for her to finally understand what happened is too much to resist. When the crew arrive at Sevastopol, they find something is desperately wrong. It all seems to be connected to an unknown menace, stalking and killing deep in the shadows.

In order to uncover the truth about her mother, Amanda is forced to confront the same terrifying thing that separated them.

This game is one of the few games that I can't actually continue. It is so unbelievably terrifying that I have only played for 4 hours on the survival mode. I have gone trough so many pairs of underwear it is embarrassing, but all in all, really well done game. <3<3 8====D <3<3 420\/69. A fan of the Alien film(s) and the classic Alien games, this game with headphones and really good speakers up to the highest volume increases the immersion of being scared of the xenomorph. You do get a little use to it running around but depending on the difficulty depends on how violent the alien is, harder the more violent the easier the less violent.

I will keep replaying this over and over just because it has always been a game I always wanted to play when I was young. Yes it is hide and seek but what do you expect when you're not millitary but an engineer wanting to find out what has happened to your mother.. Playing in VR with Nibre's Mother VR mod. Holy xxxx, this is something else. It's so intense being killed by the Alien that I can only do it once per session and then have to stop for a few days before continuing, even after setting it to easiest mode.

Even in 2019 this game has amazingly well designed environments - the voice acting and use of visual and audio styles from Alien is spot on. Well done devs, and thank you Nibre for re-enabling and finishing off the VR support the devs started putting it and then had to remove for some reason.

The VR implementation may not have hand presence or teleportation, has a little forced animation (which causes nausea) and ideally needs to be played seated, but I dont care because of the superb immersion inside that 1st Alien film - this is way up there in the best VR games for me.

Dont be afraid to try modding it for VR if you arent PC savvy - its downloading one file and just putting it in a certain place. Give it a go. You can always do a steam repair install to get rid of it if you dont like it.. The game looks great. The atmosphere is spectacular. The story and voice acting are pretty good. However, the mechanics of the game do not work. There is no rhyme or reason for why you are attacked by the alien. Reading these other reviews it seems like people are playing a different game where the alien's behavior has some sort of logic.
I would be slowly, methodically, and carefully moving through an area and the alien would pop out of the ceiling and insta-kill me. This happened a LOT. So much that it removed all tension from the experience. Halfway through I lost all sense of dread because I knew that I would randomly die. There didn't seem to be a way to prevent it, so there was no reason to be fearful of it. I was only able to complete the game through luck. If you enjoy having enemies teleport behind you and watching death animations over and over then you will like this game. Otherwise, just go watch the original movie. It is a much better experience.. This was a great game to play through. I don't really know what makes me love this game so much. But I really did enjoy playing it and enjoyed the games atmosphere. This game is really fun

10\/10. After 4 years, Ive finally beaten the game, and this has got to be one of the greatest horror games ever created.
-An atmospheric horror game is always a plus in my book
-Approach towards enemies on how you would deal with them can be strategically planned.
-Hiding mechanics are pretty useful. Very nice
-Some nostalgic details can be seen from the game if you have watched the first alien movie
-Mini games from hacking doors\/computers are actually fun. I liked the retro kind of style in it.
-Crafting materials from this game is uniquely designed.
-Never encountered bugs ( for me at least)


However...

During my playthrough, there is actually one thing that has been bothering me:
- Human AI are sometimes blind af(there are times that ai would completely "ignore" you if you just crouch even on plain sight)


but still, i got to say that the story was well delivered. A Solid 10!
