pls.. Was excited to see a new tennis game out in the market, as I've been looking for a title that gave me the entertainment that Virtua Tennis and Top Spin gave to me in the previous generation of games. The graphics are amazing, the facial "scans" of players such as Nadal are great, also love the grunts some players (including Nadal) have in the game. One of the biggest pluses I've seen so far in the game is with its community mode, which gives you the ability to download created players and add them to your roster, so players such as Federer, Wawrinka, etc. are able to be added via the community downloads, and I hope more players will be added in the weeks to come. Now lets talk about the negatives, there are a lot of small things gameplay wise that I believe need to be adjusted. The drop shot in this game is way overpowered, using my career player with a 45 overall, my player made 95% of his attempted drop shots, and the opponent AI barely ever is able to make it down the court. There is also not a noticable difference of ball movement when you play on different surfaces, their is no need to change your "strats" in order to accomodate a new court surface, which is unfortunate. The only noticable difference on surfaces is that you will occassionally see your player slide across the clay surface, however, the ball is moving at a very similar speed and angle compared to the hard surface, to where you don't notice it. Another big thing that I've been having issues with is that your player will randomly stop moving and there will be animations showing you that your player can't get to a ball that is too far to the left/right or is too far in a vertical sense of the court. This can get VERY frustrating at times (during critical points of a match) when you have NO CONTROL over your player's movement at times and your player just gives up in the rally randomly without your actual input. Yes, these animations might make the game more realistic in terms of additional animations, however, this terribly ruins the player experience as we shouldn't lose points due to the game basically saying "Oh gosh darnit, I don't have a chance to return the ball, might as well not even try to reach for it." Now would I recommend this game? I would recommend this game, if you have the ability to get it at a discount, this game is not worth the $50 price tag, $30 at best. I would also wait for "Tennis World Tour" to be released and check out those reviews also. 7/9/18 Update - After consistent updates from the devs, a lot of the issues I faced in this game have been fixed or improved upon. This is the best tennis game available on the market today.. after plyn like 20h this game is great after recents updates they fixed many things and the game running great as a realistic tennis game when it come to price the game deserve 29.99$ not 49.99 lol. Brilliant Tennis sim, Looks good, FPS 70-100. Gameplay very realistic and player models so lifelike. Could do with more to do between tournaments in the career mode, but apart from that fun to play. I played county tennis for many years so it's great to have a tennis sim that is close to the real thing. Well done devs Could the devs add winnings to every round in the career mode and not just when you win tournament, would make it more realistic. Keep up the good work devs, game running very smoothly.. Miles better than Tennis World Tour. The customisation you can do is fantastic and is a big part of this game. The gameplay has a few bugs still but it's only minor. Great animations and good movement. AO International Tennis is the best tennis-game you can buy today.. 1. The tournaments in Career mode should be fixed! Master 1000 Tournaments's duration is in 2 weeks. Unfortunately the Madrid and Rome Championship (Master 1000) are scheduled in 2 consecutive weeks. That means people cannot compete in Rome after finishing the Madrid Open, also it's the same with Roger Cup and Cincinnati Open. I hope this will be fixed soon in next update. 2. It's very happy to see the MPH-ServeSpeed be added in this game. Either it can be a setting or be added directly in tournaments where it has been used (Wimbledon, US Open.). Its a good game with masses of depth and is getting ongoing TLC as we go forward. I am really enjoying it> the only downpoint at the mo is that it has no inbetween game save function, which makes playing long games a struggle. I have heard that they are devloping this though. they are also loking to improve physics and Ai gameplay. For me its well worth it and a winner.. Pretty good tennis game, probably the best we've had to date, but could be improved.. I bought this game just for fun but i could not imagine that have so many problems cant save my progress anymore i am also have problems with graphics the support of this game is non-existent.please consider twice if you want to buy this game!. Just got it on sale and really suprised there is so many negative reviews I'm having a ton of fun playing it so far.
