About This Software

ArtStage is VR creative application.
- 3D Paint
You can paint color on any 3D model textures you have.
Open any your 3D model. and open and save texture image file.
- Voxel sculpting
You can create anything what you want to make.
It feels like real clay modeling!
Save, load, and export to 3D model file. (.obj)
You can use "auto UV unwrap" for paint to exported sculpt work.

Added sub object Panel!:

Hi! Added sub object panel for this update! You can show/hide a part of .obj file in paint mode, if separated some groups in .obj file.

Features
- Added a subobject panel to the wheel menu of the left controller. You can select show/hide Every "group" of the loaded obj file format.
- Added select shader window. You can open the window from "Select Shader" button in menu and can choose default shader or Unlit shader.
- Added enable texture filter option to preferences. You can select on/off of texture filter.

Improvement
- In select environment window, showing check mark to selecting environment.
- Remove unjust triangles at the time of .obj file loading.

Changes
- Raised limit of brush size in sculpt mode to 10 from 6. Processing may be considerably heavy when size 10.

Fixes
- It may not show correct brush parameters of brush setting when in sculpt mode.

Free trial demo has been added to Artstage!
You can try all the features except model export and texture export.
If you have never played artstage please try it.

In addition, we added several language support newly.
In addition to English, French, German, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese are added.
The language is automatically selected according to the language of the computer setting, but you can change it manually from the menu.

Improvement
-Optimized a performance of the paint. Prevented decreases FPS in painting, because big texture divided to pieces for calculation. The memory consumption decreased, too.

- When moving the model by pressing the grip button of the left hand controller, it gets smoothly interpolated.
- The motion of the pointer of the right hand controller now moves interpolated.

We added a knife tool with polygon modeling.
Intuitively add vertices to faces and edges.
We also added Delete vertices tool and Delete edges tool.
You can easily refine unnecessary vertices and edges that made too much with a knife.

Features
- We added a knife tool in polygon modeling. You can add a knife vertex on a face or edge by bringing the sphere cursor closer to the object and pulling the trigger. Next to the face you can add a knife vertex to the edge of the same face or same face. Next to the edge you can add a knife vertex on the face connected to the same edge or same edge. By pressing the touchpad, knife processing is confirmed. An auxiliary edge may be added so that no holes are opened in faces.Processing the knife tool on too complex faces may be failed.
- Delete vertices tool was added in polygon modeling. If you select the Delete tool and select vertex mode, you can use Delete vertices tool. When you pull a trigger, it deletes the vertex in the cursor. The actual process merges each vertex to the nearest vertex whose vertex is connected by the edge. If this causes a hole in the surface, the polygon at the end of the hole will be deleted so that there is no hole.
- Delete edges tool was added in polygon modeling. If you select the Delete tool and select the edge mode, you can use Delete edges tool. Pulling a trigger deletes the edge in the cursor. In the actual process, the faces connected to each edge are merged. If this causes a hole in the surface, the polygon at the end of the hole will be deleted so that there is no hole.
- Now you can show grid with polygon modeling. From Preferences, you can toggle between showing and hiding Axis, XY grid, XZ grid and YZ grid. You can also set the size of the grid and the number of partitions. The grid will be hidden while moving the entire model to prevent vr sickness.

- Command log is now displayed back of the main controller in polygon modeling.


Changes
- The Delete Faces tool has been integrated into the Delete tool. You can use the Delete faces tool by selecting the Delete tool and selecting the face mode.

Features
- Auto UV unwrap. Add "Send To Paint" button in sculpt menu. It means save .obj file include uv mapping. then open it for paint mode.
- Add "Swap left and right controllers" option. It is useful for left-handed users.You can select it in menu preferences.

Improvement
- Finally, Don't show Unity3D logo when start application.
- Prevent application freeze when open .obj file and new sculpt and clear sculpt.
- When start application, load environment sky texture what last opened.

Excited update! Layer feature in paint mode! You can add layer like as photoshop. It has useful functions new, delete, move, visible/invisible, opacity lock, fill with selected color, merge to below layer.
The number of layers upper limit is 10. In addition, we are going to add function to save texture file that can store away plural layers in future.
Added new tool in paint mode. Eraser tool. It can paint transparent color.

- Added layer panel to the wheel menu of the left controller. Click layer to select. You can create new layer, delete, move, change visible/invisible, set opacity lock, open layer menu.
- Added layer functions in layer menu."Merge to below layer" "Duplicate" "Fill with selected color".
- Added eraser tool in paint mode. It can paint transparent color. You can select it from paint tool panel or press down side of touch pad in right controller for change tool in paint tool.
- Added eyedropper tool in paint mode. You were able to use it in a shortcut in a paint tool, but it is a tool now to do it clearly.
- Added paint tool panel in paint mode. You can select tools paint, eraser, eyedropper, and can use undo/redo.

Improvement
- The upper limit number of times of the undo in paint mode, to 15 from 10.

Since the VR can not access the keyboard, the challenge was how to access each function as quickly as a keyboard shortcut.

With the new shortcut feature, you can quickly access various features simply by pressing the touch pad twice (in the case of the Oculus Touch, tilt the stick twice).

This is an experimental feature, but if you like it, you may be able to assign any feature where you like in the future.

In addition, it is possible to cancel the vertices added while using the Knife tool and the Create face tool with the undo button.

Features
-Added experimental shortcut function.

Improvements
-You can now cancel the last cut you added with the undo button while using the Knife tool.
-You can now cancel the last added vertex with the undo button while using the Create face tool.
-When scaling the model by pressing the grips of both hands, the midpoint between both hands is now scaled to the origin. In other words, it became more intuitive.

Changes
-Textures are now initialized when creating a new model.

Fixes
-Reduce the occurrence of problems that the knife tool is not partially executed.
-The selected tool becomes a move tool when saved a model.
-Edge loop can not be selected with Oculus Touch.
