Aisu is a pretty lady who was born and grew up in Azerbaijani steppes. Antanas is her husband, a musician who came to Russia from Lithuania. Ivan is a teacher from Ukraine, who lives in the village on the South of Soviet Russia. One day Antanas, Aisu and Lukas, their son of 9 y.o. come there with the view to avoid the Civil War. The love triangle in 20s of XX century through the eyes and mind of Lukas, which looks for God, but the devil decides for all otherwise.
A dramatic story about love, jealousy, God and death during the beginning of the Civil War in Soviet Russia through the 9-year old Lithuanian boy's eyes. Right after the Russian Revolution young Lukas, with his father Antanas and mother Aisu, is on the way to Lithuania to escape the terrors of Bolshevism. They do not succeed; the Soviet authorities catch them and execute two of them on the spot.
