Evil is resurrected in a small town threatening to destroy mankind, and the only force that can stop it is a young man wielding a powerful sword.
This movie is awful in every point of view: -- Really boring, unexciting storyline. -- Horrible acting. Non of the actors put some character-deepness into his / her role. -- Special effects are poor (even considering that it's a low budget movie). Main reason is that everything is so fast and cheesy, that you can't enjoy a single action scene.... you basically have to make up yourself AFTER the scene, what exactly happened in that one. -- Soundtrack is only consisting of standard high frequency horror noise... which was a pain in the ass... -- Balance between the volume of speak / music is bad. Takes a lot of concentration to listen to those (mostly simple and ridiculous) dialogs. Subtitles are recommended... --Most importantly: The zombies in this movie are NOT slow, scary and relentless. They're the opposite, which is another big contra.
I COMPLETELY agree with the previous critique. Count 'em T-W-O cheesy scenes (in the first 8-9 minutes, no less) where one person suddenly places their hand on another person's shoulder for an intended audience scare. All I could do was shake my head in disbelief.

This crock is beyond bad, and not in an interesting yuk-yuk, poke-poke, wink-wink Ed Wood sort of way. The acting is abysmal. I found myself hoping the entire cast would be caught and eaten by the zombies (or whatever those beings were near the beginning). Just an utter waste of time. (1 out of 10 is a gross overrating. Oh, and NO, I did not watch the whole thing! I feel cheated out of 25 minutes of my life anyhow, though.) Enthusiasm isn't exactly a replacement for good sense or basic skills, and the film's truest mystery is why no one pulled Metcalf aside and suggested he keep all this to himself.
