A reckless janitor accidentally releases a zombie from a laboratory of research. Meanwhile, the teenagers scouts Ben Goudy and Carter Grant decide to camp for the last time since they are too old to be scouts. The problem is that they do not want to harm the feelings of their friend Augie Foster and the Scout Leader Rogers. They have a flat tire after hitting a deer on the road and Carter's sister Kendall Grant, her boyfriend and her friend Chloe stop their Jeep to see whether they need a ride. They invite Ben and Carter to go to a party in the night. The two scouts leave the camping during the night to go to the party. When they drive through the town, they do not see a living soul and they decide to visit a night-club since the bouncer is not at the door. They discover that people have turned into zombies and they team-up with Ben's recent acquaintance Denise Russo, who is bartender in the nightclub, and Augie that was left alone at the camp and came to the town. Soon they discover that the non-infected inhabitants have been evacuated and the town will be bombed by the government. They decide to rescue Kendall but they find that the address her boyfriend gave to them is wrong. What can they do to save Kendall?
Three scouts, on the eve of their last camp-out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.
I had zero expectations about this movie, I daren't look at any reviews or blogs as I wanted to go in with an open mind. The first thing I noticed was a giant B movie cartoon style slide with a naked zombie woman front and centre. What had I got myself into?..

The plot centres around three teenage boys who are the only Scouts in the town. Augie, one of the boys, loves the Scouts and the other two have been trying to leave and re- establish themselves as the cool kids. Whilst on a camp out, a deadly zombie virus breaks out and it seems these hapless teen Scouts are the town's only hope from the zombie terror.

This film is gory, crude, juvenile, fast paced and I found it very VERY funny. To me it was a mashup of Superbad and Night Of The Living Dead. I had fun watching this movie, laughed hysterically and the relatively unknown actors did a stand-up job.

I have no doubt this will become a teen sleeper hit.

7 stars from me (even though the trampoline scene nearly made me vomit) I saw "Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse", starring Tye Sheridan- Mud, The Tree of Life, and FYI, he is playing Scott Summers in next year's X-Men:Apocalypse; Logan Miller-Take Me to the River, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past; Joey Morgan-in his first movie; Sarah Dumont-Playing it Cool, Don Jon and Patrick Schwarzenegger-Grown Ups 2, The Benchwarmers, and Oh Yeah, he is Arnold's son-in case you didn't recognize the last name.

This is a comedy/zombie movie that was very entertaining. The name of the movie is a mouthful and I figured that it would either be really good or really bad and thank goodness, it was really good. FYI: The original title of the movie was 'Scouts Vs Zombies'. Tye, Logan and Joey are scouts in high school, and in fact, are the only scouts in their school-it is not very popular. Joey is going for his last badge and Tye and Logan are secretly thinking of quitting the scouts-they feel they have outgrown them. Luckily, there is a zombie outbreak that reassures them that they made the right choice to help others and be the best scouts they can be. When the zombies start attacking, they befriend a cocktail waitress, Sarah, that helps in their struggles. She also knows how to handle a gun, which is very useful in a zombie apocalypse. There are also different types of zombies that you don't normally see; zombie deer and zombie cats. A few good cameos pop up including David Koechner as the scout leader to the heroic trio and Cloris Leachman is a cat owner and neighbor that is very funny. One of my favorite rock songs by the Scorpions is used in a momentous scene-Rock You Like a Hurricane. FYI: Just because it is a comedy, don't think it's OK to take the little ones to it, because it's not. There is graphic violence and gore as well as nudity. It's rated "R" for zombie violence and gore, language and sexual content-including both male & female nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 33 minutes. I really liked this movie and I would buy it on Blu-Ray. Genre fans close in age to the characters depicted onscreen should be appreciative of the enjoyably familiar mix of inspired comedy moments, smart zingers, grossout gags and nudity offered by the apostrophe-phobic Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.
