Players will have the option to host their own servers as well and tweak many of the settings to provide an easier experience or a much more harsh experience including hardcore options.

Skills

Surviving in the world of Fragmented has its advantages. As you gain more experience you will be able to unlock higher level skills opening up different play styles and survival options. You can focus on combat related skills to take the fight to the wildlife or your enemies or you can focus on skills that will improve your base and your storage capabilities. the games menu system code is off cause menu selection to be difficult to adjust menu settings.. The developers have stopped support\/development a long time ago. Stormy development history. Active servers reduced to one. Developers moved on. Price reduced to sell. Active population is nothing. Regardless of how pretty the game looks I would advise against purchasing it as it's future is very uncertain and your investment is most likely going to be poor value. Game may have had potential at one time but with developers walking away, the game will never see that potential.

I originally (positive) supported the developers on 'The (original) Repopulation' and 'Fragmented' but for various reasons it has ended up a failed project that the developers have walked away from and left the customers hanging. What is the real blame is anyone's guess as it is hard to work out fact from fiction. But Fragmented is effectively dead now.. the games menu system code is off cause menu selection to be difficult to adjust menu settings.. Don't waist your time. Dev Log #5 - Player Immersion!:

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the 5th dev log for Oi, Innkeep!

For this one, I'm going to go over a few - but not all - of the things we are adding to Oi, Innkeep! that will help make the game more immersive.

You guys will have to eat and sleep. This isn't a hardcore survival game, but we want to include some light survival elements. You'll have to eat once a day and sleep between 6-8 hours to fully replenish your energy.

The lower your energy gets, the slower you will move. If your energy runs completely out, then you'll pass out and be forced to sleep, but when you wake up you'll be slower for the next few hours because you pushed yourself too hard.

Different food will refill your hunger at different rates and better, more expensive beds will allow you to sleep less while still fully replenishing all your energy.

We plan to add coffee at some point, which can be drunk to give you a bit of an energy boost.

Later on, we'll probably add sliders and options for all these player needs, so players who aren't into them can tweak them to get what they want out of Oi, Innkeep!

(Don't forget to make the bed!)

We're also thinking of adding bathing as well. So you can buy different baths, with more expensive ones giving you more energy when used. Some customers will also be more likely to leave you a bad review if your're dirty.

Speaking of dirty, customers who are dirty themselves have a chance to leave dirt marks around your inn, which you must clean up, and if you're dirty, then you'll be more likely to leave these marks yourself as well.

Cobwebs also form over time. You'll have to clean these as well.

We do have some cool and magical stuff planned for helping with cleaning, but we'll keep that a secret for now, I reckon.

So we already had wall sconces and chandeliers added, but now we've made it so you can place candles on tables as well. You can then lit, extinguish and remove them.

Customers aren't going to be happy if candles are not on their table and lit of an evening. As an alternative, we're probably going to make it so you can place little flowers there instead. So candles for night and flowers for day.

You can already grow your own crops, so we've made it so you can grow your own decorative plants as well.

Plants will wither and die if they're not watered regularly, so you have to fill up your water can from your farm's well and make sure they don't go thirsty.

Plants give your customers a happiness increase.

We're also probably going to make it so you buy and place a pot/vase down, and then buy different seeds. Then you plant the seed and water it to make it grow. That way, you'll be able to grow the plant/flower of your choice in the vase/pot of your choice.

We're playing around with different immersion things to add such as chopping firewood, fishing and dealing with rat infestations in your inn.

As well as the stuff above, we're fixing a lot of things that got broken over the last few months. Most of this is done though.

We're adding a heap more animations for when you talk to characters. There's also new animations for different characters so they don't all just stand around the same.

That's about it for now. Stay tuned for more next week!

- Hayden. Dev Log #10 - What's We're Cooking Up!:

Hi everyone!

So, it's been over two months since the last dev log and we thought we better give you guys an update.

Rest assured, we're still working non-stop on Oi, Innkeep! and we're sorry for the lack of communication lately.

We finished up the tutorial section of the game, but we also went through some design revision and decided our plan going forward for release, which is what this dev log is mostly going to be about.

Originally, we didn't want to do Early Access. We thought we'd be able to just get everything we have planned out in one release, but we soon realized that just wasn't going to happen, not with a 2-man team and zero funding.

So, now we're thinking that in early 2019 we're going to release Oi, Innkeep! into Early Access on Steam.

We plan to launch the core of the game. From there we can build on it and release new content over time. Here's a rough idea of what systems and activities we'd likely launch with:

Cooking. Dev Log #2 - Decorating Your Inn!:

Hi everyone. Welcome to the 2nd dev log for Oi, Innkeep!

Today I'm going to give a quick overview of how decorating works. At the bottom of this, there'll also be a quick summary of what state the game is currently in.

Decorating Your Inn!. Dev Log #4 - The 'Magi-Tab':

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the 4th dev log for Oi, Innkeep! Today I'm going to show off the 'Magi-Tab', a magical device that handles all our UI, social mail system and other stuff. Read on!

The Magi-Tab is more than just a pause/settings menu. It's a magical tablet that helps you keep track of customers and manage your inn. Pressing TAB on the keyboard will take you to it's home screen, pictured below:

NOTE: All the images below are not final. We're still going to add stuff and pretty it up some more!

It should be familiar if you use any sort of modern smartphone. From the home menu, you can access different apps. There's more to come, but at the moment we have the following:

Matester.
