The game was great on my mini notebook and very old PC. It will not play on my current PC . This is a 2010 custom built gaming machine. It was not built of fastest components even for that year.. Any power, any hero, any team you want can be made in this game. If you don't mind a distanced perspective, there isn't a more complete super-hero experience. Doesn't change too much from the original game. I would say that the original has a slightly better storyline (but it isn't bad at all), and I miss the ability to "hold back" ability strength in favor of not using as much energy, but overall it is definitely still Freedom Force! Core gameplay is fairly simple: 1. Choose 4 characters to form a squad. 2. Tackle objectives in moderately sized maps that offer collectible power ups, bonus XP, and "prestige" to recruit more characters to your team roster. I have found that no particular set of four heros is perfect, but certain characters handle a wider variety of situations easier than the others. 3. Completing any objective rewards you with more prestige. 4. Once you have enough prestige, you can create a custom hero with almost anything you want, breaking the game, or just recruit the entire Freedom Force roster if you like. Replayability is there too, since there are so many heros available to you, and many characters have crazy abilities that can combo with others so well. If you like experimenting with team composition, there is a lot to like here. Grab both games while they're on sale fast! Dozens of hours of super-hero fun at a bargain.. Crashes early, crashes often. Got in Humble Bundle pack.. What an amazing game this still is! Runs great on Windows 7 in Windows Vista compatibility mode.
