Practice your take-offs and landings with Approach Training! Developed by FS-FlightControl, Approach Training gives you the tools to reposition to a multitude of approach locations in Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition.

Approach Training also allows you to analyse your landings with the Approach Statistics feature. Approach Statistics provides valuable feedback such as your glideslope and centre line deviation for your landing.

Once installed and downloaded, Approach Training will install and launch automatically once you open Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition.

• With this tool, you can reposition your aircraft in order to practice approaches for any airport and track how you are landing the aircraft.
  
• Reposition your aircraft to pre-defined starting locations for airports and runways (Take off / Final approach / Downwind left/right / Vector left/right / Base left/right / Reposition to gates or parking)
  
• Start off on any SIDs/STARs waypoint, airworks and custom locations.
  
• This tool allows you to save aircraft settings, such as airspeed, pitch trim, gear/flaps status, heading, course and ILS frequencies.

It's really useful DLC, you won't have lessons how to land, but you can put your plane to any kind of approach configuration, postions, airports, etc in SECONDS. ILS freqs, course, speed could be set up in advance too, so you just really have to land that bird.. Thought it would be actual training, I should do more research on things before I make a purchase. Just purchased this and very pleased, does exactly what I wanted, sets your aircraft at different points in the landing pattern in the selected airport and then you fly it in to the landing. Now you don't have to take off and position that aircraft, just click and you are moved to one of the selected positions. You can view your position on the glide slope and adjust as needed. HUGE help for training and improving my landings. Not a voiced tutorial, you will have to be able to observed your performance and make needed adjustments. If you want a voiced instructor, adding FS Flight School provides an instructor to help you along. The combinatin is awesome, saves time and allows you to training on all pre-landing postions in the landing pattern.. It's not "approach training" but more like information about your Approach and landing . I was hoping for lessons like the lessons that come with FSX but it's just analysis of your landings after the fact. Which is nice, but that's not what the word "training" means.
