Release on PC, played by few and abandoned by the devs and that last point is the main issue. Bubbeling underneath this game are some promising mechanics that with some better level design, some fleshing out and polishing could have lead to an amazing game. However the game was clearly rushed through production to get a release soon enough after the tv show it was related to was cancelled to not be entirely irrelevant.

Graphically the game is sub par, likewise the voice acting and sound in general simply does nothing to draw and beyond the average sound effects the sound work is lower then I woulkd expect from such a release. Especially how they push the sound of character tos your left entirely to the left hand side of your sound system and similar.

The story is terrible, and the characters completely forgetable, but at its core there is some gameplay value. Which whilst it never feels fleshed out remains entertaining enough. However with all the negatives present and its extremely small amount of content the only time I could recommend this is once it is on a steep discount (think 75% off or more). It isn't terrible, but it misses the numerous opportunities it has to be something special and is just okay but overpriced for its length and quality.. I really enjoy games the deal with time manipulation. I wouldn't consider this game top tier, but I did enjoy it. I saw a lot of the reviews talk about the bugs in the game. I did seem some, but they didn't ruin the game for me. I feel like if they had more time and/or more money this game could have been amazing. The charters could have had a lot more to say, and have had a story that moved you. I was disappointed in the basic ending they gave. I felt like I could feel what they were wanting from the game, but they just never got to give it all the love they wanted for whatever reason. I assume that is why price tag is at $15. I got it from a bundle on a website for one dollar, but the only reason I got the bundle was for this game though. I feel it was worth more than that, but I'm not sure if I could really push for not just waiting on a sale.

If you like time manipulation games and you don't mind a relatively short story, I'd say you are probably going to like it.. This is clearly an unfinished game. Don't believe the positive reviews.. PsiOps was one of the best games I've ever had the fortune to play.
After longing for a PsiOps 2 I had given up hope until now.
The game is a little rough around the edges in a few places but it is incredibly fun to be able to toss around super powers. The time traveling superpower adds an awesome new twist that freshens up exploration in first person shooters. Looking forward to a sequel to this game. IGN's review is far too harsh.
. A fun game and a really nice surprise. I've never seen the show, because it looked terrible and no one ever says anything good about it and it also looked boring, but I'm thankful it existed simply so NBC could throw this project at Phosphor – a developer made up of ex-Midway Chicago people you may remember put together games like John Woo's Stranglehold or Psi-Ops. This First Person Action game is probably the closest we'll get to a follow-up to Psi-Ops actually, even if its not a stealth game or shooter. It IS however a great spiritual successor in the genre of “use psychic powers to lift stuff up and hurl it at other stuff” :D

Gemini adds time powers to the mix, namely jumping between time periods and slowing down time – all of this is implemented really well and means the gameplay is just super fun. That's about it though; the core gameplay is great, but there's just not a lot to the experience. And what's here isn't always fantastic. The game is kinda ugly for instance, very visually uninspired – just a lot of bland grey corridors and rooms and facilities (either ruined and "reclaimed by nature" in the present or pristine, white, and "surgical" in the past) and the storytelling is terrible (probably appropriate though, considering the connection). And as good as the gameplay is, it never evolves much - they never really use what you have for interesting setpieces, memorable puzzles, or unique gameplay sections. Using Half Life 2 as an example, you're not going to find a Nova Prospect section or "Ant Lions on the beach" or Ravenholm area that mixes things up for awhile. But what do you expect; it's a budget tie-in game. That's probably the biggest thing here that holds it back from an experience closer to a AAA game, but its also not biting off more than it can chew - which is commendable; it focuses on doing less things, but does them well. Unlike a lot of budget productions here on Steam.

See that's the thing. For the asking price of $15, this is stupid good. Unbelievably good. Way too smartly put-together for a budget tie-in to a brand that was considered a failure before this tie-in could even launch, lol. This is FAR better than it should've been, and delivers way too much enjoyment. Being able to pop into the past, grab a desk, pop back into the present behind now baffled enemies and just send 'em flying with said desk entertains for the entire runtime. The game's a blast, and while you could probably find great “AAA” first person action games for the same price during a sale, this is worth a play if you want something a little more unique. There's not enough "abuse a physics engine with telekinesis" games out there these days :D

I wish someone would hand Phosphor a bigger budget and a longer dev time; I want to see them expand this idea more.
