If you like Goosebumps then yes, if you like point and click games, then also yes you should totally play this.. A great point-and-click adventure that constantly incudes references to the classic Goosebumps books.. Playing as a kid, our aim is to stop Slappy who is a creation of R.L. Stine and appears in one of his books. Everything turns out to be spookier after Slappy managed to escape from the book; and, the protagonist we control seems to be the only one who cares about it. Storywise the game is not satisfying and same is valid in terms of gameplay. The hints given are not easy to grasp. For me many times it was trial and error. Distracting the guard was a hell of a problem for me and the instructions were showing just the tip of the iceberg.The dialogues are pretty annoying in terms of their way of flow. Skipping them with the space key is not a good idea. Look button is sometimes useful and sometimes not. Some items cannot be obtained without clicking the look button first; hence, they can be overlooked. Music and graphic design are pretty cool though. Yet, I don't think they are enough for a recommendation; especially if you are a completionist. Most of the achievements are tedious and require playing again and again.. Great prequel to the recent Goosebumps movie. People are saying it's a very short game, but since there are small alternative ways to approach the storyline I have to disagree on that point. Always been a huge fan of the point-and-click adventure games and this is a nice game to add to the collection. The only issue I had is the HUGE amount of items you have in your inventory when reaching the end, but with some clever thinking you'll know what to use.. This game is awesome!! If you love 90's point and click adventure games then you'll love this. So when I found this game, I bought it more for the nostalgia I was hoping it would bring. The game itself is nothing too spectacular; point and click, collect items, ect. Fun if you're into that. What I really liked was the story they had going (maybe similar to the movie? I haven't had a chance to see it yet) and the number of refrences to the old books; during the game you'll see monsters like the Beast from the East, Monster Blood, the lawn gnomes, Cromby, and of course the big boss, Slappy. Speaking of refrences, you'll find a lot more in the achievements and there's 40 for this game, some of which are difficult or time consuming to get. The game itself did not take too long and takes even less time if you've got the walkthrough at your side. Most of my time on this game was spent exploring or trying to get all the acheivements. Overall I'd suggest you give it a try. Or if you're not sure, I'm sure YouTube has some playthroughs you can see to check if it really is a game you'd like..
