A good game, pretty much like the X series, but more dynamic / less tedious. Also very responsive developers, I have posted a bug to the issue tracker and it was fixed in like 1 day.. Striking visual style, but it seems like there isn't much to do. You spend a lot of time looking at a static map.. seems like there is a good trading game at the core, but I didn't really play for long. it all felt very empty and my initial trades didn't give me that warm, economic game feeling of "that made all the travel to get here worthwhile". Not recommending because I just didn't find anything that grabbed me here, but others might if you badly want an indepth space trading game and are happy to overlook a very empty feeling universe, with little to no story and kind of a boring and unneccesarily complex trading station interface. refunded.. Thanks for releasing the source code for your game! It is awesome to see how your slate implementations work in action, and reading the source and looking at how you implemented your menus and ui have helped me make steep progress in learning to use slate.. Pretty great trading game. This is better than X rebirth by far, awesome not-too-distant future spaceships and full resource trees. This game is a hidden gem.

What to expect during Early Access : Hello ! We're releasing Helium Rain in Early Access to garner feedback from the community, and decide which features are the ones most needed. Here is our plan : Add joystick, gamepad navigation to the menus . Using only the mouse for navigation in menus is annoying for joystick users. Bug tracker entry [dev.helium-rain.com] Make orbital engines affect the travel speed . Some orbital engines would offer a higher travel speed between sectors.
