Madcap Jerri Vail is arrested for reckless driving once too often, this time while on a blind date with vacationing psychiatrist David Lamont. Jerri's uncle, a judge, pressures David into "analyzing" Jerri at his mountain lodge, with comic caretakers Joad and Martha for chaperones. Jerri tries to confound the doctor by seducing him; but the situation is complicated by payroll robbers hiding in the mountains.
Pampered Jerry Vail loves excitement and is too much for her uncle, Judge Waterman,who turns her over to a young psychiatrist, Dr. Dave Lamont. He is also fed up with Jerry who has involved him in an ugly mix-up with the police, but he faces ruination by front-page publicity unless he submits to the judge;s unofficial blackmail. He agrees to give Jerry the psychiatric "works". He starts the cure in a secluded cabin, chaperoned by an elderly couple. He soon finds Jerry a fascinating patient but their budding romance is interrupted by gunman Stan Martin, his moll, Dell Parker, and two henchmen. Escaping from the police with a big payroll haul, they hold the quartet in the cabin while police surround it.
