Great game!!

I love the gameplay a lot and it constantly had me gripped. Cutscenes flowing into the gameplay is just superb, it keeps you hooked and just wanting to keep playing. Once you start playing from the cutscene, it's all go and non stop action with amazing shooting mechanics, cover system and of course, bullet time. Rockstar did a fantastic job at this.

The story is very good too, in my opinion. Yep, we all know it's a different setting from the first two games, but it has to be. Max is attempting a new start to try and escape his past for once. It's a dark, gritty story that is told really well and Max just can't stay away from massive amounts of trouble. Just because it's set in sunny Brazil doesn't mean it ain't a dark story.

A little negative would be if you want to explore an area a little bit to find clues and golden gun parts is that you may run into the way you are meant to go and it will trigger a cutscene and you generally can't go back, therefore you miss exploring that certain section until you play it again or if you restart the level. Very minor negative.

If you've played 1 & 2, do not miss out on this. A great way to finish an amazing series! 100% worth it and I recommend. Pick it up on a sale to make it even more sweeter.

My rating:
7.5\/8 Painkillers!. Max Payne 3 starts off like any other third person shooter from it's time, solid gameplay and a constant stream of enemies make it hard not to stay engaged. Quickly Max Payne 3 shows you that it has more to offer than just combat and gore however as the dialogue, presentation, and general mood of the game have an exceptionally entertaining detective-noire feel to them. The story begins incidental but starts to unwind before you in a way that has definitely been done before but remained entertaining if not somewhat surprising throughout.

If you're a fan of the third person shooter genre and you enjoy the idea of playing a washed up ex-cop down on his luck and out of his comfort zone - check out Max Payne 3.. good game, Rockstar need to make a new one. Shoot is great! Max is edgy and lame. Goofy lame Max Payne is best pain. Also Dead man walking being locked behind a pay wall in spite of the fact that Max Payne 1 and 2 had dead man walking by default, that\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665still sucks along with multiplayer.

-Max Payne as portrayed by Rockstar.. Max Payne 3 is a fantastic timeless action shooter and it improves a lot from Max Payne 2.

However be warned as the game's DRM requires you to activate the game using a Rockstar account.. Honestly it's meh. You constantly get control ripped away from you so they can play an in game cut scene while the main character narrates. It's \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665ing exhausting. The game play is repetitive and while the death animations are top notch it really loses its flare quite early on and you're just left with a corridor shooter and a bullet time mechanic that you can't really utilize properly because the levels are so cramped.
