An action, platformer, puzzle, physics game, for ubuntu linux. Some interesting levels. Graphics are wonderful. Controller support works quite nicely with rubbles, too. A lot of nice touches. Has a lot of the same qwirky feel as Big and Tiny, but not with the 3-D movement. I quite like it so far, although it can be a bit frantic, at times.. A very interesting precision platformer based around the ability to run on any wall or ceiling as well as the floor, which uses its story of two alien races and their hatred of eachother to inform a mechanical flow of moving back and forth between two worlds. Red Robots and Blue Haries each have their own platforms, checkpoints, hazards, and level exits, and you can only make use of or be safe from the ones you match. After a brief start to the game where you play as a Red out to get his destroyed house replaced, you find a Blue disguise that you can switch on and off instantly (sometimes mid-jump) to navigate complex environments, with new elements being gradually introduced with each world.

If there's one problem with the game, it's that when you're running sideways or upside down sometimes it's hard to tell which direction on the controller/keyboard will make you move in which direction, especially when you dismount from a surface that's vertical or upside down and try to control your fall. I had dozens of deaths caused simply by the fact that I thought that holding this or that direction would cause me to move in a different direction than it actually did, ending with me running straight into a hazard. The final boss (yes, this game has a couple boss fights, and they're generally well done) is the worst example of this in its 3rd and 4th phase- the entire stage rotates, meaning that sometimes your character will change direction or stop moving in the middle of a jump.

Overall, though, this one's worth checking out. If you're all burned out on Meat Boy and the other well-known ones, try it out.. Great game for fans of the platforming genre.
It was a bit hard for my taste, I really liked the art style and the visuals though, so be sure to give it a try!. A very tight, well-designed, well-concieved, polished platformer firmly in the vein of N and Super Meat Boy and Dustforce and all that good stuff. There's just enough new mechanics here to set it apart - the polarity-swapping thing lends itself to some very cool platforming setups late in the game, and lends itself to a very nice jump-swap-jump-swap rhythm. Controls are tight and fluid in that special way that just feels good. The excellent sound design and art all hits this very Meatboy-ish line of being quirky enough to have a distinct personality but not so much that it gets on your nerves.

My only gripes are:

- It's not lacking in value for money, but it feels like a disservice to such a well-designed game that some of the coolest mechanics are only used in the very last area. Maybe I'm just neurotic, but I would've liked the difficulty curve to be a bit steeper, and perhaps another area or two to really milk every last drop of potential.

- The final boss requires a skillset that has little to do with everything you've learned up to that point. A bit of an unsatisfying mess, but mercifully short.

Anyway, I flew through this the day it came out, and it kept me pretty engaged the whole time. It doesn't quite match its influences in eliciting that twitchy platformer trance state of an afternoon of endless retries, but it does carve a nice little niche for itself where it puts on a solid effort.. On Rusty Trails is a great platformer that uses multiple mechanics. The story revolves around Elvis, who just had their house destroyed by a meteor. Elvis remembered they had insurance that granted a new house for free and set off. The idea, concept, and reason to traverse the area is great. I found On Rusty Trails through a discount from crafting badges. If you like platformers, you will like On Rusty Trails.. A fairly decent game. Get it on sale.. Great platformer!

If platformers - like SuperMeatBoy, which comes to my mind as the best
example of the genre - are your thing, I would fully recommend this one, too !. Just a mediocre platformer with stylish artstyle. Only recommended if you are a real fan of platformer genre and you don't have anything to play and its on sale.. This game is so cute, however I have keep having lag that makes this game unplayable. Once that is fixed then I would definitly recommend this game.
