The graphics are nice, however, the puzzles are either super simple, or I fail to grasp what is even intended of me to solve. The commentary however fails to captivate me entirely; bothering with questions and thoughts that are alien and incomprehensible to me. It's not worth cheating the puzzles, to me; I'll just stop playing.. This is a good game, difficult enough puzzles, good narrative even if Pneuma is a bit annoying I think he is supposed to be.. Short game, full price might be a bit too high for the time that it took me too complete the game. Bought it in a sale though and that price was a perfect fit for what I got out of it. The game itself looks great, high quality textures and ok lighting. The objects in it do become a little repetive after some point tough. Soundseffects were quite good and the music was not distracting and kept the game alive enough. Only thing missing for me that the world you travel in seems a little to static, it would have been nicer with some wind effect's on the voilage and cloth drapings. The puzzels themself were not to hard and had good deal of logic behind them which made the game challanging but soveable without too much gues work. Als nice narrator with a great story to tell that gives a nice view point.. This gaphical benchmark tries too hard to be a puzzle game.. Pneuma: Breath of Life is an exploration puzzle that uses one unique way to solve puzzles: vision. Graphics: First off, the graphics are gorgeous, beautiful, and detailed! I appreciated every area I walked into and was always impressed to what was coming next. The atmosphere makes it look like a holy ground in a Roman era.but very polished and detailed! Music: I love how relaxing the music is and doesn't keep looping on the same track. Very nice! Gameplay: This game goes to the direction that no exploration or any puzzle has ever implemented as far as I know: sight. In order to solve puzzles and progress, you have to manipulate viewpoints to get doors to open and bridges to form. There are a few mechanical puzzles and some that require action like jumping. I would say, since I'm not a hardcore puzzle person, you can probably get through 75 percent of the game without any help.of course it would take a while. Otherwise, each puzzle is unique and different each time you progress through the game. Controls: Not much to say about controls. You just jump and use a mouse/controller to interact with some objects like buttons. Most of the gameplay is based on vision, though. Story: It begins with sight.someone is excited and narcissistic and believes the world evolves around them. They become philosophical while still feeling important-as if they were a god. Feelings change overtime, however. Voice Acting: I have some mixed feelings about the voice acting, but most of it lean towards good. With a game like this, I pictured it more of a monotone voice acting with questions. The acting is more energetic and bragging. Otherwise, It gives a unique experience. Overall: Pneuma: Breath of Life takes a journey of a new being with a narcissistic mind while the main gameplay of the game is manipulating sight in order to reveal paths. Some of the puzzles are a bit difficult, however. With beautiful graphics, interesting story and viewpoint, and ways to solve puzzles, this game can be enjoyed by anyone who likes both puzzles and exploration.. Ridiculously clever puzzle mechanics, and a chatty and super-confused god. Short and sweet. Would not have regretted paying full price for this one. Protip: Keep an eye out for a red thing on the ground in each chapter, including the prologue and epilogue. When you find them, stare at them for a moment.. Pneuma is certainly not the perfect game, but it's not a bad game either. With simplistic puzzles and a quite annoying narrator you may feel that it's not worth playing but If you manage to get to the end It makes the journey well worth it. If you buy the game purely for the puzzles you may be dissapointed as for the most part they dont require much brain power. The story is the strongest part of Pneuma placing you in control of a man in a strange world asking himself where he is and why he is there. The narration at times feels a little too much and over the top and kind of ruined the mood of the game for me, I would have preferred it if the narrator sounded a little bit more serious and less like another version of the one from The Stanley Parable which is obviously were the influence comes from. I don't think its worth the $19.99/15.99 price tag but if you can get it on a sale I would definitely recommend it.
