Not sure what I was expecting but got way more than that. It's a seated game which I think I enjoy more these days. But yeah highly recommended. Especially at it's sale price, a great value.. A bit short, especially given that a lot of time is wasted waiting for those fishes to get into place. And the fact most just disappear when teleporting was a bit immersion breaking for me. But the impression of being in the game was really cool, especially when switching to a big creature (whale) or a small one (sandwich crab). US$20 might be a bit high given the length. But if you can afford it or if you can get it for half that, definitely check it out.. Was a blast to play its got me hyped for Psychonauts 2.. This game simply was not fun for me. It failed to use VR in any interesting way other than being located in the environment. Its simply a point and click adventure based off where your headset is looking. No motion controls used, seated experience. I payed $6 for this on sale and still feel it was a bad choice. Played for about an hour but I doubt anything change moving forward as the hour was all the same actions in different environments.. Let me just preface this with, I really wanted to love this game. I really, really wanted to love this game. After getting an Oculus Rift, it was one of the first games I tried out with it and the first few minutes were that of absolute wonder. I was so blown away, I loved seeing all my favorite characters from the original game not only with all new updated visuals but right in front of me as though I was sitting right beside them. It was amazing. However shortly after that was when things started falling apart. I realized about an hour in that I simply wasn't having fun. I get that it was intended to be a point and click adventure style game and people praise it for working around the limitations of VR, but I simply cannot agree. For me, it was a game of looking around for whoever I could teleport to and trying to find whatever I could interact with while very repetitive dialogue was providing either puzzle breaking hints that felt like cheating or were too vague to get anything out of. Basically it was Myst without much of the logic that made those games fun for me. Now that's NOT to say you shouldn't give this game a shot. Absolutely not. If you can find it on sale, it might be everything you want. But not even the story was enough to hook me. I got bored and annoyed before I could even feel a desire to stay. To make matters worse though, while I didn't beat it, less than an hour in, I already saw what the vast majority of the reviews for the game was showing off, which means I probably wasn't missing much. And I didn't even feel like I saw much. at all. Yeah, it's that short. tl;dr - Pass at anything more than maybe $5, $10 at the most.. Feels fun, puzzles were challenging but something about it gave me a bad headache and minor motion sickness.. Excellent game! Funny, great voice acting, great music, not too hard to solve (except for the baggage car - took me a while). Loved the 60's retro style. LIke a lot of VR games, a bit short. But well worth playing.. Fun, must have game for Psychonauts fans. Pros: - Very pretty graphics lead to great immersion.
