About This Game

Recursive pain is a fast-paced third person multiplayer shooter that brings many original ideas and gameplay mechanics to the online-shooters genre.

Novelty comes first – original gameplay mechanics

The main purpose of the project is to constantly develop, continuously search, test and introduce new gameplay mechanics.



BLINDSIGHT - Navigate in complete darkness using echolocation.



DILEMMA - Altered gravity. The players can run on any surfaces, as well as use the teleportation. Be careful because enemies can be anywhere. Nevertheless, you can be anywhere as well.



BLANK - Shoot paintballs in order to paint any objects and enemies. Do not stay in the painted areas or you will be quickly noticed



ADVAITA - on this map player can see only a small area of reality.



POISON - The snow is poisonous, so it causes damage to players. Shoot paintballs to pave your way. Move only on the painted areas in order not to cause damage to yourself.

And this is just the beginning!

• Hardcore – The goal is to be the last live player. The last alive player wins the round. Player who has survived in more rounds wins the match.

• Raid – each team has a flag that must be protected. The goal is to capture the enemy flag and take it to the team base, or eliminate the enemy team.

Other features:

• Players can host dedicated servers.
  
• Skills.
  
• Online multiplayer, with either dedicated or listen (player hosted) servers.
  
• Flexible game settings – min and max players, auto-team balance, allowed skills, etc…

This is very innovative, and quite fun to boot.. This is very innovative, and quite fun to boot.. It's a neat little techdemo. I'm happy that the gravity was smooth, and the main reason I bought this game is because the author made a False Gravity plugin that I think is neat. I think it was worth the $1 I paid for it. Echolocation and the mode that only draws the world when it's near you are also really cool.

There are a lot of things missing though. Improve the visual design of menus - it should be more clear to new players how to "just play". Maybe highlight or outline the Host Game button when no games are found? Add some shading to buttons to make them less flat. Let the escape key work in menus. Add weapon decals so stuff gets covered in bulletholes.

Anyway keep up the good work!. It's a neat little techdemo. But I can't tell - I haven't found anyone to play with.

The game is UNPLAYABLE without other online players. There needs to be some sort of offline mode where players can verse bots - or a story mode using these mechanics in an interesting way. Either that, or make it F2P so more people download and play it.

Otherwise, I love the look of the echo-location mechanic, this game takes some steps in innovating\/adding new gameplay mechanics - something a lot of games lack these days.

. This is mind effing blowing man, if you have friends with whom you can have fun and are able to mess around then my friend this game is perfect for you! I love the game, the servers can be laggy since the game is new and there arent many servers available but i didnt face any lag so far, so in short if you got crazy mofos friends then this is it.. look great plays great however there are no people online and somehow we cannot host our own servers so we can not play this game this kind of sucks. ---{Graphics}---
