The Story :

2052. Planet Earth. BreakTech, an enterprise specialised in robotic construction, is flourishing thanks to thorium, an unlimited and innovative power source. After many years of exploitation, robots are finally protesting for their rights. But the peaceful movement is quickly escalating to riots and the human repression is near. Now seen as a first degree threat, robots are hunted down and culled throughout the planet.


You, S.A.I.A., an enhanced artificial intelligence, have to end this surrounding chaos and build a future for your robots. Unite with the new rebel factions, which have been engaged in turf war for months, then deal with cyborgs, humans and robots to lead your own robotic uprising.

I hardly ever stop playing a game after the short amount of time, but I just couldn't get through it. The basic reason being there seems to be a lot going on and a lot to pay attention to, but none of it seems that captivating or important. Not saying the game lacks meaning on personality, it all just seems like there's a lot of little crap that's added in that you have to pay attention to that it's hard to get enthusiastic about. It seems like a huge pain to micromanage all the equipment that comes in and have to assess it for each of your robots on your squad, and there's just so many buffs and debuffs to pay attention to but they only ever seem semi important.. Numerous UI and scripting issues. Attempting to enable the auto-sell common items feature will cause the game to hard-lock on entering new screens. It's possible to move between zones on a map and have all doors lock with no way out (opening a menu, which causes a reload of the room will fix it). Attempting multiplayer can trigger an error before a match that results in a completely unresponsive interface after the battle, leaving you forced to kill the game in task manager.

Playing on normal difficulty, it feels like both sides don't do enough damage to be a serious threat.

The combat has a very old-school Final Fantasy feel, which I rather like. Abilities make you focus between hard hitting single target, inflicting status effects, or doing 'line' targeting to hit entire columns of enemies. Takes a little thinking, but with the lack of threatening damage output, it's not terribly hard to manage.

Really wanted to see how the simple story plays out, but it's too frustrating to deal with the bugs that require a reset of the game.

We are very honored to have opened our “RE:OZMA” Steam Store and delighted to release the first Dev Diary.

RE:OZMA is our first game and SHIFTRICK is an indie game studio that was established in 2018.

We have been developing space-themed 2D pixel graphics PC adventure sandbox game “RE:OZMA” for the past one year, we’ve been trying to implement core concept and form of a game.

In March 2019, we revealed our first demo build at PAX EAST 2019. In fact, there were a lot of fears before going to the game show, Sincere interest and feedback will be a driving force for us to continue to attract RE: OZMA.

Come back to our home, we continue to develop the game based on feedback from many people. During PAX EAST 2019, we released about 10% of our overall contents through demo build. We wish we could have shared more with the users that we prepared.

Now, the biggest obstacle we have to overcome is the multiplayer feature. RE:OZMA provides single and IP plays on fundamentally multi-play environment to maximize the ‘fun from playing together’. It provides a world chat system where players can randomly meet in RE:OZMA Cosmo space, communicate and play with other players in their planet when they are online. Also if player wants to, player can Invite friend to the player’s planet.


Our Motto is "If you want, you can do everything". There isn’t a ‘given path’ in RE:OZMA. That means, it has a high level of freedom and it is a game where player create their own playing style.
If you are a user who is ready to play the game depends on players style and preference such as action, adventure, community, sandbox and others, they can all be a user of RE:OZMA. But we believe user who has the will to pioneer their own goal and path by setting their own goal will enjoy RE:OZMA much more.
