About This Software

Rytmik is a powerful music station allowing you not only to play with samples and musical instruments but also to mix them together, shape them and create music clips or whole songs. for your Friday night set-list.

Thanks to new features, Rytmik Ultimate takes music creation to a whole new level. Rytmik allows you to share your songs with other users through the Rytmik Cloud and can also serve as a music player for songs uploaded on Rytmik Cloud with it. On top of that, users can exchange their songs and cooperate on their composing.

Once your work is complete, you can save it in WAV format to local storage.

And that’s not all!

Every instrument is now a wavetable synthesizer. With the advanced effect module, you have more power to shape sounds with the ADSR envelope, vibrato, portamento, noise shaper, or digital delay. In addition to that, the drawable waveform synth module allows users to draw and modify their own wave and use it as a sample oscillator – with that you can use Rytmik Ultimate as a sonically unique chiptune synthesizer.

Rytmik Ultimate comes with a sound library of more than 750 instruments containing the libraries of the previous Rytmik series (Rytmik, Retrobits, Hiphop King and World Music) and adding a brand new set of samples ranging from deep dubstep kicks and basses to cutting synth leads and special effects.

I want to like this software, but the interface is clumsy and not beginner friendly. For example, why can't I give relevant names to my clips instead of using 1, 2, 3, ..., A, B, C. Why can't I have more than 4 tracks? Why can't the app go full screen without the black boxes? The interface is suprisingly dated, I feel it was made by someone who still lives in the 70s.

The tutorial is lackluster, there are some videos on youtube by the developer, who apparently hired a sleepy bored guy to do the voice over, it is really annoying and painful to listen to.

The only redeeming point is the low price.. You can re-create THOUSANDS< of tracks,
that you played in your head, or when you were younger, or connect to the cloud [not advised, unless you have more than a 25mbps connection]

You have tonnes of sounds, you listen up top, make a bookmark of it, below that,
Then you modify it the way you want to make it sound,
Tempo up, tempo down,
Mix it around, draw line graphs to add in new steps,
AND ON YOUR MARK:
get set.,
GO!: play, let it all assemble,

It's a massive musical journey.

Will recommend to EVERYONE wanting to listen to something better than commercial music.

It's classical, It's beautiful, it's Exportable, so that you can use it in your video editing software, etc. :)

It's a completely new adventure for me, but 20 minutes a day will get you very far,

The sounds are top quality, and modifiable,

People say the only downfall is 1024x768 - but it's actually amazing how everything you need is in that space,

So, in conclusion, on a 1080p monitor, you have 0 issues. It's just fitting within your whole screen.

Thanks,from ZAF. Great, easy to use, can't wait for the new Rytmik Studio to import my own samples :D. Nice tool to make quite easy music, nice to do some 8-bits musics and that is what I wanted to do. I regret that there is no guitare or some other instruments but the choice of instruments is anyway very good. At first the interface is not very easy to use but after 1-2 hours of practicing it start to be quite powerful. The only complain I could make is that there is no full screen mode.. I'm very new to music making software, so I have no knowledge on the work it takes to traditionally create digital songs. That being said, I bought Rytmik on sale just to practice making a few beats I had in my head for a while.

After practicing for a few confusing hours, I began to understand the ins and outs to composing individual samples and managed to make a catchy 2 minute song.

The big issue with Rytmik is that it's very limited, a common problem with streamlined programs compared to the more advanced and professional ones. For example, you can't import sounds, so if you're planning on developing rock music, you can't because you're limited to the many instruments in game, none of which are guitar.

I can't recommened Rytmik to anyone planning on making complex songs with no limit, but it's perfect if you want to quickly throw together something like a catchy chiptune beat or perhaps a haunting ambience.

Final verdict: Very limited, but perfect if you're new to making music or if you just want to have fun. I got Rytmik on sale for a fraction of the price, but I'd still recommened it for it's full price.. Have been looking for an easy to use software package to make music for my games. This is fantastic. I imagine pro musicians would outgrow it pretty quickly but for someone like me it's more than enough. Easy to use, great sounds and lots of stuff to tweak. Amazed it was made with Unity too. Very very cool package!!! Oh and how can you beat that price? The only thing I found that did a similar thing for a 'reasonable' price was FL Studio Pro for $99.. This review covers the product, and its DLC. Let us begin with what it is and then what is not.

What it is

At the most it is a quick scratch pad or something for the kids to play around with so If you buy this software then be sure and grab it while it is on sale.

What it is not

This software is not a professional sequencer, or digital multi-tracker for your pc so if you are looking for that in this product then you might want to save your money because you will not find anything close to that in this software.

Samples included in the basic software sound like 8-bit mono samples with a psuedo stereo fx added (at best)

Samples included in the rock DLC are 15 times worse All guitar samples sound like they were sampled in 8-bit @ 22000 using a $40 guitar with horrid out of tune harmonics. Add to this that the samples have absolutely horrid phasing that will not only give you a headache but possibly an ear ache as well. I can best sum up this DLC with 2 words:
UTTERLY HORRID.

Although interesting samples included in the accoustic DLC are of the same quality as those included in the basic software.

You can not import or use your own samples.

The interface although easy to learn is absolutely horrid when it comes to mixing down

the software is limited to 16 bit x 44100 for mixing down which is really not much of an improvement when you consider the quality of the included samples.

. Rytmik Ultimate is okay, but it's not very impressive on a computer. You can't upload sounds. I suggest you get Rytmik Ultimate on a 3DS, or, better, get Rytmik Studio (store.steampowered.com/app/657280/Rytmik_Studio/) which is also availiable on a Switch. Rytmik Studio is everything that Rytmik Ultimate is not - and there are a lot of things that Rytmik Ultimate is not.

It's good for beginners but it doesn't provide the tools neccessary for very professional music creation.. Very fun music production software :)
Compared to the others on steam, this is quite simple but very good especially for it's price.
