Way to kill sales of your games Namco.. One of the best fighting games, needs more attention.
Don't buy this for story mode though, it's not the main focus of this game. It's just there for the sake of being there.. Paid 20\u20ac just 6 months after release, so definitely won't complain about price and DLC characters.

Game is nicely optimized. Runs on default settings at 60fps \/ 720p on the old 2012 living room PC (3.2Ghz Athlon II upgraded with a GTX 1050 Ti last year).

Good old Soulcalibur fun. Kiddies and casuals can join in and have a blast. Been playing Souls since PS1 and this is the series I remember.. I have to agree with some players in the comments. I have a mixed recommendation for this one, but I would go to decline, unfortunately with sadness, this game WHEN IT'S FULL PRICE.

First of all, for everyone who didn't played Soulcalibur 3 on playstation 2, it is, by far, the Soul Calibur game with the most contents in the whole serie. Maybe it had no real guest fighters like Geralt (Soulcalibur 6), The Jedis (Soul Calibur 4.... all 3 were too OP, nonetheless) and then the 3 separated Trio for Soul calibur 2 (Link for Nintendo, Heiashi for Playstation and Spawn for Microsoft), the rosters back there felt complete and we had way much more characters. First of all, you have Hoawrang which it is in the Path of Soul as a not playable character. You had Rock, the character in the first game of the serie, back when Cervantes was the main boss. Off course he got replaced by Astaroth,, but in Soul Calibur 3, he made a comeback and he kicked some serious\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665too! And then, you have Lizardman, not a playable character still. This one is particular in Soul Calibur 6 because you have his fighting stance AND weapons from the NPCs but you can't create a Lizardman character with those! It's like a fake tease for the fighting style.

Before I forget, the devs really removed many weapons in the game and the way it was meant to be played that each weapon had their own stats were fun too in a duel, arcade,etc. Back in Soul Calibur 3, you were able to disable the stat feature on the weapons. So everyone were also able to take the joke weapons and having a good moment with them.

As for the DLCs, purely recycling everything since Soul Calibur 3. The customization is way much more lacking. I feel like it is really empty when you look the customizations, really. The story for the custom character is very skippable and uninterested. It's a meh part for us.

Well, aside for my negative points, I do have some positives. The control are fluid. The music are great. The stages are amazing to watch to change between each rounds. The new mixed mechanics with the Soul Charge, Critic and Counter are fun to execute. I am quite happy with that. Seriously, I give my heart with Geralt's theme song when it kicks in. I really feel to fight someone to the end! A real pump-it-up song remix.

I would say that I would recommend the game when it's on sell on steam. Otherwise, at full price, simply skip it. The game isn't worth at full price, including with all the DLCs.

It's a good game, but just too many lackbusters compared to the 2 massive hits (SC 2 and SC 3). The Devs can do better and without DLCs. If they can do a similar game like SC 3 with all those contents without much DLC (not recycled stuff from other games, please), I would be glad to get that one!. greedy money grabbing excuse of a full price game -.- what a utter disappointment.. Less customization than V despite being newer. less characters than IV despite being newer, defensive play is not as strong anymore and the reversal edge mechanic is terrible. the game feels like a freaking cutscene at some points and I really wish theyd just port v to pc so i could play that instead. the game is okay but when i think soul calibur i expect more than just "okay" i want something great.. I bought this game on release and it was fun for a while. I took a long break and came back to find\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665on guys in drag...what?<\/a> i thought they patched\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665like that online. I remember when people were making giant\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665and i thought they patched it to where you can't see it anymore. did they never do it for the\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665

Anyway, still super fun and i love Amy and B2. Hope they add Yun-Seong soon.. Snagged it on sale so I can get my Cassandra if she ever drops as DLC.

Soul Calibur 6 offered a lot of content for a reboot of a series, correcting the wrong they'd done in Soul Calibur V.

Best game ever, easily dethrones my love for Soul Calibur II.

Also, I wished there was an option to end up with Groh in Libra of Souls. Guy needs more love. :((((

Thankfully, Libra of Soul's narrative is barebones so players can create their own story, which I'm doing now. :))))). I'll make this short.
Soul Calibur 6 is trash and every aspect of the game is under-developed. Online matchmaking is non-existent. Graphics are OK at best. Custom character options are limited and they keep adding weird clothing parts. Reversal Edge, Critical Edge, and an increase in tracking attacks will make you rage quit. The single player content is shallow, lacks rewards, and lazily done (a few voice-over, but mostly text).

I don't think I'd even recommend this game when it's on sale.
