About This Game

star Shelter

Star shelter is one of the first VR games with classic survival mechanics. You're stranded in a mysterious graveyard of abandoned ships, the only way out is to repair a broken spaceship.
You have to scavenge for materials and plants to repair and arm your spaceship.

Keep your oxygen, power, and hunger in the green. Grow plants, build solar panels and other objects to generate what you need.
Climb around the zero gravity but don't rely on your thrusters to much, they are fueled by the same oxygen you breathe.

Scavenge the wreckages of spaceships and be wary of hazards.

Really fun and engaging survival style zero-G game. Graphics might not be at AAA development standards (curse you Lone Echo!) but the gameplay is really tight even at this starting stage of early access. Developers have already posted a fairly succint mindmap of future development ideas and planned updates. Definitely one to keep an eye on if you haven't immediately bought it!. i love this game. A great idea implemented really well, thanks Devs (who are really active).. Really wanted to like this. It felt extremely cool, subnautica in space I said to myself.

Then the doors said they were open when they were closed.
Then I died from lack of oxygen when I had plenty of oxygen.
Then it told me to make a plant and I did, at least a plant-pot, but that is all the direction I got.

So in short, this could be cool, but apparently it is "finished" and the developer is not fixing this stuff.
. For an early access game, this one blows me away. I love the feeling of floating through space or jetpacking through a spacestation. I always run out of oxygen too quickly! :D. I really wanted to enjoy this game, it's looked very polished and fun - but even as a veteran VR user, for me the movement system is absolutely vomit inducing! Just unplayable unfortunately, took me a good 2 hours to get over the sickness this game caused.. Only spent an hour on it so far. Already super impressed (for VR). Already worth the money. Extremely active Devs and an amazing game to boot. I really look forward to seeing the future features that the Devs have planned for this game.. At the moment, this is Early Access and things are bound to change.
I've already dropped more than 5 hours into this despite some obvious and major bugs. It's damn fun and it sounds like the developer is really on-top of updates and listening to their audience so I'm very excited to see where this goes. It's got a good framework, I just hope it fills out well. At a $15 price-tag it's cheaper than going to a big movie-theater and much longer lasting entertainment.

I recommend checking this out.
If you don't know if you should buy it or not, at least put it on your wishlist and/or follow the updates, it's got great potential.
