About This Game

You play as Aria, a girl who moves into her grandfather’s old house. While exploring the upstairs study one night, she and her friend Melody accidentally unleash a flirtatious demon named Lyria, who spent the past fifty years in a stone. After freeing her from her prison, the two become attached by a ‘lifestone’, which means Lyria can’t go far from Aria without feeling repercussions, and vice versa. Now Aria, an ordinary highschool girl, must find a way to free herself from Lyria, who seems to crave the exact opposite. Add to that the increasingly realistic dreams plaguing Aria, the sexual tension between Aria and a select few girls around her, and the supernatural phenomena - it seems like Aria's life will never be the same again.


The game is available on PC, Mac, and Linux. Different endings and romance routes are obtainable through your choices made throughout the game.

TLDR: Buy it on sale, I wouldn't pay more than $10 USD.

It's hard to recommend this game.
It's very clearly trying, but the lack of expertise shows--spelling and grammar issues, a lot of continuity errors and plotholes within and between various routes, and the artwork is only passable for the majority of the time.

That said, the 3 main "good" endings are interesting character pairings, and they all get to the end in different ways, which is more than can be said of some other romance VNs.
The harem ending is clearly not fleshed out, with the exception of a few minor lines it's simply a mish-mash of the other routes.

For a few dollars it's OK entertainment, but it's not noteworthy otherwise.. this was good and gay but also i kinda cried a bit. I really enjoyed my time with this game. I am new to this genre but I have been extremely happy to be a visual novel fan now. No doubt I will be playing and replaying this particular visual novel a dozen times over as it filled me with joy.
It is very high quality all the way through. If you like romance and fantasy, this is golden.. Starlight Vega is a pretty straightforward romance VN with fantasy elements, offering around 10 hours of content when playing through all the available paths. While it doesn’t do anything especially original, it tells an enjoyable story, with a fairly serious and tasteful approach to relationship arcs and rather timid, but well thought-out eroticism. While it has love scenes, it’s presenting them with literary descriptions rather than explicit artwork (illustration stops at partial nudity) – the approach I very much appreciated.

The artwork in general and music, while somewhat simple, complement the story very well and some situational illustrations were a joy to look at, even though they weren’t super-heavy on details. The “indie” feel is very much present through the whole experience, but never gets in the way, even if sometimes I had a feeling that the writing could be better if a larger team working on it. I think I’ve also seen rare misspellings and strange grammar. It wasn’t a major complain though and the story itself was very much gratifying – while short, it didn’t lack amusing dialogues, good character development and rewarded multiple playthroughs, uncovering new lore, showing the major story points from new angles depending on the player choices and offered a bunch of distinct endings.

One thing that made me wonder is the portrayal of yuri romance itself – while I think that the writing for the main character seemed solid and believable in most ways, her (and other female character’s) sexual attraction towards women is never explicitly mentioned/elaborated upon. As Aria is a high-schooler, she’s either atypically certain about her orientation or the writers just didn’t think to add that angle to the story – and I think it would benefit from it quite a lot. She seems uncertain about her feeling and doesn’t properly read her best friend Melody’s intentions, but the way it was presented in the story makes her feel just dense, rather than properly confused by her unusual feelings. Other than that I find all the characters rather interesting and having decent depth for such a short story (although it shows mostly if you follow their separate romance routes).

In general, I’ve found this game very enjoyable and I can recommend it to anyone liking VNs or just looking for a nice romance story to read. I’ve bought it on -50% sale though and it felt like pretty much the right price for the content offered, $15 could have been a bit too much.

Even if the decisions are a bit rare, the points seem to be well chosen. A little gem that is well worth its price.. A very great yuri VN with a great story and great characters. Each characters got their very own conflicts which couldn't be found out without going under their route so players won't feel bored during the playthrough. The background drawings are also done well, and so are the BGMs.

What makes this VN unique is, it allows players to turn for an NTR and harem route. :))
