Tales of the Orient: The Rising Sun is very good match 3 game with some unique mechanics. It has nice graphics, good music and a subpar story. I don't really play these sort of games for the story anyway.. This game was suggested by Zaraki Snakenoman and given by Failmid. Thanks, guys!) Joke Review: I came to see Mulan's t*ts. Didn't see Mulan's t*ts. Would not want to not see Mulan's t*ts again. Real Review: So, another match-3 game given with an easy 100%. Play as a generic placeholder as you aid a geisha and a samurai (The samurai whom you'll only see twice in the game. Once in the beginning, and once in the ending) in rebuilding a Japanese town after a civil war has ended. That's as far as the story goes.not even a 1-minute long story. PROS: Casual Easy Achievements CONS: Game has bugs (Tiles will fall down and sometimes get stuck, leaving them to shake uncontrollably) Game has exploits (When you repeatedly click a combo in POP mode, it'll count multiple times to easily elliminate special tiles) Kinda' boring Too expensive for what you're getting. Personally? I cannot recommend this game for the asking price ($7) as it feels like a game you could either play for free via Facebook. If I had to price this game, I'd say that $1 or $0.50 would be fair. The game has a few exploits and bugs, but overall, it's an easy casual game with 3 modes of gameplay to choose from. 2/10 Just didn't hit its expected mark.. Alright, I don't want to seem like i'm being harsh, but the price tag is not worth it. 9.99 is way too much and to be honest. Unless you are a really big fan of puzzle games I would not recomend it. The game achievements go based on how much time you put into the game which should tell you something. While I like the music and the mood of the game a bit, unless you can get it for less then 5 dollars I would not get it.. A very simple yet addictive match three puzzle game, Highly recommend for die hard match three fans :). Never underestimate a casual game, and never underestimate a match 3 games even when it seemed that no one could do it better and more polished than Mumbo Jumbo in 7 Wonders. This game, in which the historical context is bananas, is basically a mix of match 3 (with 3 ways to play it, only one that is beatable) with a good level design, glorious, fantastic sound design (though the music did not deserve that low bitrate) and just enough to make you go through its 100 levels or anything goes.. This game is a waste of both your time and your money.. Spent 15 minutes on the first puzzle and even then all I seemed to do was rotate the board until the last gold tile became available. I will probably go back to this game but probably after playing something a little more worthy of my attention.. good and relaxing game. You have to be super lucky to clear a level.. I was pleasantly surprised by Tales of the Orient. The game is a simple get three or more in row type of puzzle game. With 3 different game modes, one where you simply click to "pop" the pieces that are next to each other, one where you "chain" pieces together by dragging a line through the pieces you want to remove, and the last most classic "swap" where you can swap two adjacent pieces to make pieces come together. There are also two main game modes "relaxing" and "challenge". The boards are the same, but in challenge you get a set amout of moves to complete it, and in relaxing you can take all the time you need and click away at your own pace. There is a story in the game, but to be honest it's a hard genre to have a story in, and I doubt people but the game because they want a good story. The graphics are nice and pleasant to look at and colorful, bringing it to a nice game to look at and play. 7.8/10
