About This Game

Ted by Dawn is a humor laden throwback to classic action platformers such as Mega Man and Metroid. The game focuses heavily on frantic platforming action complete with boss fights, spikes, and plenty of fire. Ted by Dawn follows the story of Ted Carcass, a reclusive survivor of the apocalypse. Ted is a rugged man, a man's man, a beard supporter, whiskey drinker, shotgun aficionado, and reluctant savior of the human race.

There are no checkpoints, and death instantly restarts the stage. Muscle memory, memorization, and an iron will to survive are required for success.

On a routine supply run to the local tavern, Hunter's Haven, Ted runs across a scientist. After an unfortunate skirmish with some fellow redneckians, Ted is left to escort his newly acquainted friend across the wasteland to find a suitable laboratory to synthesize a cure for the horrible mutagen that has ravaged the land. Along the way, Ted will meet with hordes of zombies, mutants, savage survivors, and apparently, flaming pants. 6d5b4406ea

So far I like 'Ted by Dawn'. It has some really great humour in it, the controls are easy to master on a gamepad.
The buzzsaw hit registration is questionable at times though.

It's not a game which you'll be playing for hours on end in my honest opinion. The game is great if you're just looking to relax for ~30 - 60 minutes.

Overall, the game is worth the $2 ($1,69 on sale now) it costs.. Bougth this game because it was cheap and It was my first time buying with card... turned out to be one of the most hard games I've ever played. This thing is hard as hell. You're a nasty player if you can get past the first two levels, really.... Another game where "was designed to be played with a controller" means "we've just assigned everything to random keys and didn't care enough to add a setup menu". "Controller" by the way means "only X360". Nothing else works.
Apart from that it's just yet another cheap trial and error platformer mistaking frustrating and awkward for retro and stylish. One very loosely inspired by Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion for a change.. Ted by Dawn is a relentlessly ball-breaking, try-and-die ordeal without the mercy of checkpoints or a health system. Its keyboard controls are an abomination and it will, like many of the 8-bit platformers that inspire it, drive you to rage... but it's a good kind of rage, like punching a parking attendant or when Luke lost his rag with Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi. It's an addictive, healthy rage; the kind that keeps you playing.
I can't play this for more than around twenty minutes at a time because I'd probably lose a fortune in wall filler but it's engaging, humorous and aesthetically pleasing enough that I have a few stabs at a level while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil.

and yet i cant put it down.
its just so frustratingly difficult.
its a sprint- you need to be fairly perfect through a couple dozen really tough, but short levels.
it really is reminiscent of the old NES games, that required near memorization to look competent in.
but it is fun. frustrating, and fun.
. Awesome dev who listens to people's concerns and a ridiculously hard game to boot. Not unfairly hard, but be prepared to be more than a little salty.. Me and this game have a Love hate relationship. Its a game I wanna chunk across the room but cant put down.. If you like being happy don't play this. SO HARD TOOK ME AN HOUR FOR LEVEL 2

I love brutal games, and I can assure you: this one is brutal. Ted by Dawn is an old style platformer with a fun zombie twist. While it's not particulary unique, it is very hard to screw up zombies. I think they pulled that off pretty well here.
