CTU detains a reporter it suspects of helping assassins, while Jack and Chloe start their own investigation.
Jack agrees against his better judgment to be debriefed at CTU. Meanwhile, Dana discovers that Meredith Reed's computer was used to hack into the UN database and download incriminating files. Reed is apprehended and brought to CTU for questioning, but Chloe finds this discovery too easy, maintaining that Reed might be the victim of a frame; she further discovers video footage of an unknown man (Davros) entering and leaving Reed's apartment around the time of the hack. Hastings dismisses her claims, so Chloe turns to Jack, who agrees to get involved after Kim goes to CTU and gives him her blessing. He then tracks Davros to the home of NYPD policeman Jim Koernig, who knows Davros as "Mike Farmer", a fellow cop. Davros, in the meantime, gets in contact with the actual mole: Hassan's brother Farhad. Davros arrives at Koernig's home well before Jack and asks if he can trade for Jim's shift on U.N. Security detail. He attacks Koernig's wife upon being denied his request.

In summary,here the events that happened during that hour:

1.A stinger missile is fired at a CTU helicopter, incapacitating Victor Aruz. He informs Jack that the hitter on President Omar Hassan has someone on the inside, but dies before providing specifics. Jack relays this to CTU.

2.At CTU New York, Dana Walsh tells Director Brian Hastings that there was a breach to the UN database, including a download of Hassan's itinerary. They trace it to Meredith Reed, and she is promptly detained. President Omar Hassan is in denial about Reed. His brother Farhad tells him that if the affair becomes public, it'll destroy everything he's worked for. Farhad then calls Davros, who briefs him on how important it is that CTU believes her to be the inside person, so he can perform the hit.

3.Chloe O'Brian shows Jack a possible suspect who may have tried to frame Reed. They identify the cab company, and Chloe works on getting a destination.

4.Jack Bauer is caught retrieving weapons from the CTU armory. He tells Hastings about what he and Chloe found. Hastings allows him to pursue the lead on his own.

5.Dana Walsh receives a call from a man claiming that he knows her real name as Jenny Scott. Davros arrives at a residential house, and is greeted by a woman calling him Mike Farmer. Once inside, he takes her and her husband hostage. He demands the man call their Captain in the NYPD and claim he will swap shifts with "Mike".

This is the last episode that Kim Bauer appears in the final season of 24.She was portrayed very well by Elisha Cuthbert.She will definitely be missed.

The second hour of Day 8 has become action-packed just like the first hour as we witness many amounts of violence with many murders occurring early on.Aside from that,we at once witness another rehashed element in this season as a possibility of another mole exists at CTU.Chloe discovers that and tries to find out who is responsible for it. But inspite of the numerous action sequences,there is yet to be something new and original in Day 8 apart from the new location of CTU at New York.
