About This Game

"The Experiment" is a multiplayer escape room puzzle game for virtual reality or desktop PC! It can be played competitively, co-op or solo.

Story

While visiting a well renowned doctor, you notice something is amiss at his office. Before you realize what's going on, he drugs you and you fall asleep. When you wake up, you are sitting on a chair in the back room, locked and unable to get out of the building. You can tell that the doctor is running some kind of experiment on animals and people and you are his next subject! Can you figure out what's going on and escape before it's too late?

Multiplayer

Gather up to 6 people and play as one team that tries to solve the puzzles or try the "Versus" mode, where each player is locked alone and tries to escape the room before the others do!

Virtual Reality

The game supports full roomscale/standing tracking with motion controllers on both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
VR is not necessary, you can play with a Desktop using keyboard & mouse / gamepad.

dont buy just dont. I don't even know how to describe what I experienced here so far. I didn't finish the game yet, and I am pretty sure I won't. I really dislike that you can't change the gamma within the game.. i know everything should have like a horror feeling to it, but this game is less lighted than an ape's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.. I couldn't see most of the stuff that I would have to see to solve the puzzles. After looking at walkthrough's i finally found some things that were just sitting in the dark without me being able to see them at all. It's not fun to play a game like that.. to have the answer right in front of you, but as they made everything so dark you can't see it.. disappointing.. I spent most of my time being stuck in the main area, so I looked at the reviews to see if anyone else was stuck. I tried changing the graphics settings, and it showed my way forward. It's difficult to recommend this if you never know if you're simply not thinking of the puzzle, or if it simply isn't working properly. I don't want to spoil anything, but there were multiple cases in which this stopped me from moving forward.
The other issue involved the hints. They simply don't work for me. It'll say the next hint is in 0 seconds, but nothing else would happen.
For the actual experience, it was really cool to be in this escape room. It had an interesting background, and I really enjoyed the mystery behind it. The one possible fault I have is that I had to look up the answer for something. I looked all over to try and not use an outside source for the values of this thing, but I couldn't find anything. Hopefully, I just didn't find the answer and it is in the game.
I would recommend this if there weren't any glitches that prevented you from moving forward. Until then, I unfortunately have to remove my recommendation.. as always very cool game we have played a bunch of there escape room games and all have been challenging
and fun would recomed for both VR and pc users. thanks for another grate game hope there will be DLC. I've enjoyed all the onSkull escape rooms in desktop mode so far. Was seriously disappointed in this one having the hints not working in desktop mode. You'd think it would be an easy fix for the developers. Sad they would leave it like that.. Good game but needs more levels. This game is just so great. The ability to not pass levels is just great. I also love the game being just a loading screen.
