Ah yes, グリザイアの迷宮, Le Labyrinthe De La Grisaia... Or just simply "The Labyrinth of Grisaia". I remember when I read this visual novel for the first time in its original Japanese version on PC many months ago. I've had so much fun reading through these stories. I laughed. I cried. I became a Yuuji-wannabe.

Having a $40 price tag is not enough for me to give a negative review. Sure, maybe I could buy a more interactive and time-consuming game with that price, but the Grisaia story, as a whole, remains a masterpiece. I had to pay around 6000 yen (roughly $55 USD) for this game when I was in Japan, but it was still worth it.

Fortunately, for most of you westerners, you don't have to slam your head against uncommon, hard-to-read kanji that would appear in the original Japanese version of the game. You now have a localized English version of the game that can be read with finess.

Sure, the sex scenes may be omitted from this version of the game, but who cares about that if all you're interested in is the story?. I dont recommend this games because it's too pricey compared to the lenght of the main story. I have finished it in 12 hours without skipping at all. Yeah you might enjoy the "After" stories but the main story interests me mostly. Thus this is not unrated version means adult stuff and even jokes or anything adult related is removed. Wait for the unrated version if you want something good.. All it is is 10 hours of fan service via the after stories, 10 hours of actually cool plot stuff with Yuuji's backstory that just totally lacks the time needed to get properly invested in the characters that are introduced, some of which you already should know the fates of.

Plus, a lot of it is downright wrong feeling. Stuff like Yuuji sleeping with JB and his master is kinda disgusting since he's meant to be what, 15/16 at the time? I don't think the stuff with Kazuki is as bad since that is meant to be a ♥♥♥♥ed up family. But when it's him banging his foster parents who are meant to be the good guys then it just feels bad.

Don't bash on the price for being expensive. Bash on it for being too much for too little, and what little there is isn't of high enough quality to justify the price.

First game is way better. If the third game is good, then you'll have to buy and read this to know the background.. I waited for this to come out, now I can't wait for "L'eden de la Grisaia".. The majority is Yuuji's backstory which is what most buy it for. The afterstories of the girls are somewhat short but still good. The short extras are comical too.. This is the second game in the Grisaia triology. The 3rd being Eden which is coming very soon to Steam. If you enjoyed Fruits, you'll love this. It's not as emotion wrecking as the first, but it's a great follow up.

This game has a route for each heroine that is essentially part two of their stories. All of which were very enjoyable.

There are like 30 brief short stories that are like 1-3 mins long a piece. All pretty funny and just like side content.

The main story is ♥♥♥♥ING AMAZING. I will admit some of the characters are a little weird, but hey it's a VN.

I just finished playing the whole game. All and all it was ~35-37 hours long I'd say. Plenty of content for the money. I bought mine on a 33% off sale because I don't like paying full price when I can avoid it. I can say though, that if you enjoyed Fruits this is a worthy successor.

One very important thing to note is that there are NO decisions. It's all just click and watch basically. That being said it's a great story so I'm not gonna complain, but I'd like those who may want the game to know this before buying.

With Eden listed on steam as coming out this month, April 2017 I am insanely excited. The end of Yuuji's route left me wanting to see what happesn, but I'll have to wait a bit until Eden releases. The end of this triology is setting up to be amazing.

One last note: As people tend to complain about the exclusion of H-scenes from Steam I'll say this. Yes it's noticeable when they skip those scenes, does it detract from the experience? No. Some people dont like content being censored out, but hey it's gotta be awkward to play a hentai game around others, and seeing as I live with other people who can see my screen I'd actually prefer not to have those awkward moments like someone walking into a sex scene being played on a movie. It's just awkward. If you have to have your hentai go buy the censored version or whatever, but I dont seriously get why people ♥♥♥♥♥ about it.

Although it isn't as good as the previous one "The Fruit of Grisaia" , The Labyrinth of Grisaia offer a sequel to all 5 girls routes with an addiction to a main route whereby taken place around Yuuji himself and his past.

I would say if you are interested on continuing the stories with the girls and knowing more about Yuuji, pick this one out. Else, just leave it be.

It maintains the high quality animations and sounds that the previous games offered, nonetheless the story for the sequels lacks of the "umpps" that makes the previous game great. It is a little bit too short compared to the it's predecessor, however it is still heck of a fun to read!. Posting this review to offset the idiots downvoting because it's not the denpasoft version. It's a great game, if a bit overpriced. A fantatstic follow up to the prequel and a must for fans.
