Amazing art style, good voice acting, a pretty interesting story. So what's wrong with it? I can't be sure. I'm sitting here wondering why this game isn't better than what it is; but that doesn't mean it's bad. Unforeseen Incidents is a good game, but I just didn't like the puzzle structure, and I'm not a big fan of having to unlock dialogue clues to unlock other clues, and this game has a lot of those. It's good, just not great. BUT THOSE VISUALS ARE EXCELLENT.. Great-looking game with fantastic dialog, nice atmospheric music and an interesting story. Took me about 10 hours to complete.. Meh . Great voice overs for the characters . could have been better though. Amazing artwork . yes definitely. . but I lost interest about three hours in. The story just got stale a bit. The puzzles are good and make sense. But I need something to grab me and keep me hooked in these type of games. I should give it more time? Hmmm maybe but it just feels like the same old thing done before in every other game like this. I will keep it on my hard drive and continue with the story later - maybe it will get better.. I have mixed feelings about this one. It is one of the better point&click indie games out there.Definitely recommend for the lovers of this genre. However, the OST is repetitive and quite boring, there are chaarcters that hardly have a character (librarian, I'm looking at you) and seem like they've been put there just so that at one specific moment we can hear a piece of info from them. The story is good, has original ideas, but then again, I'd have to agree with others, it seems rushed right at the very end. The plotline works in slow motion during the first half and then jumps from action to action in the end. The graphics choices are good in my opinion and I like the feeling this kind of animation gives off. However, I don't see the reason for all that rushing. We used to play p&c games for 20 hours before.. Unforeseen incidents is a gripping, well-paced adventure game. It follows a conspiracy plotline with a group of relative strangers trying to get to the bottom of a virus outbreak which is killing people. The music matches this dark theme and the plot generally is engrossing and full of twists. The graphic style is a bit more cartoonish, and there is frequent comedy dialogue. In particular, the character you play as is a bit of a Guybrush Threepwood style goofball. This only works sometimes, as comic relief. Other times it can feel jarring against the more serious tone of the plot. The puzzles are woven seamlessly into the gameplay, and they all feel fair. I really liked the game and puzzle design here. Nothing feels too much like moon-logic, and character reactions are consistent, which really helps you feel immersed in the world. Great stuff.. This game had a great storyline and I like the artwork style of the game. I love when games use a different art style than what most games have in them. The puzzles werent too hard or too easy. The main character was relatable and humorous. I went through it really quickly, but I will probably play it again in the future when the game isnt so fresh on my mind. I would love if another game was made like this one with the same art style and maybe even some of the same characters with a different storyline. I love point click mystery/adventure games. I think so many people underrate them, but I cant get enough of them.. great voice acting + actually human dialogue + lovely art style + puzzles all make sense + you have to take notes and think + not a single puzzle felt offensively simple or unbelievably hard + 40000x better than that steaming pile of doodoo Thimbleweed Park + avoids a bunch of cliches + usually lets you skip walking between screens + Monkey Island jokes + Twin Peaks references + spacebar shows hotspots +- no hints when you get stuck besides dialogue +- I was hoping the 4th chapter would be longer - a bunch of doomsday cliches - a few locations where you have to walk across the screen without being able to double-click through. A good adventure game reminiscent of the genre classics with a simple plot, nice style and well designed characters. The puzzles always had a logical solution with one or two really obtuse exceptions towards the end. The conversations were written well enough to remain lighthearted even as the narrative turned towards darker subjects, but without turning into straight black comedy. Good for relaxation, bad for a challenge.. Kind of like if Bill Plympton had designed Broken Sword. An engaging point and click adventure, perhaps a little familiar at times - plot and character-wise - but lots of neat puzzles, some cool applications of real-world solutions (caffenol is awesome!) and the art style is unique and attractive, so that and the evocative score and decent voice performances creates an overall atmosphere that's full of intrigue even if the story is a touch derivative and it lacks a central mystery as satisfy as completing the game's not-too-challenging puzzles.
