The story takes place in 1999, the Year of Destiny, and the beginning of the end of the world. The future of the universe rests on one young man, Kamui Shiro, who must destroy either the Dragons of Earth or the Dragons of Heaven - two opposing armies. He alone must decide whether humanity should be destroyed to create a purified universe, or whether it should be protected to preserve civilization. Two oracles, the sisters Hinoto and Kanoe foresee the coming of the Dragons and predict opposite outcomes. Each sister gathers strength and ammunition to insure her own vision for the future. However, neither sister realizes that there is one man who has an even greater power than the Dragons, and that ultimately he will determine the fate of the earth. Which sister will prevail and how does Kamui fit into their struggle? The answer to this question will forever affect humanity.
The creators of the film version of X should have waited until the manga was complete before embarking on the feature length film. The end of the film was actually only the middle of the manga's story. The story, in my opinion, was a 90 minute cliche that has been overdone in anime for the past 20 years: a young man with incredible powers must reluctantly save the world. Occasionally, the story itself can be incredibly hard to follow because of all the pointless dream sequences that hopelessly try to explain a story that had not been finished at the time. The animation, however, is some of the best I have ever seen in my entire life. The animation is well worth spending $7 at the movie house all the way downtown, and will satisfy most of the eye candy addicts that this type of film attracts. 7/10
At the very first time I've watched this movie when I was little like nine years old with my brother, and I can't get my eyes off this movie. I mean the story is pretty simple, and has very wonderful drawing. After this movie, I was so shock when my brother said "It is suck, all about one story". I could tell that the X movie was my favorite of whole anime movies I've watched. Well I better close my blabbing.

This movie is about seven angels of the Dragons of the Earth and Dragons of the Heaven each fighting for the future of the world. Also there is one dreamwatcher each for the heaven and earth. The dreamwatcher see what will happens in the future and warning its group. The Tokyo city are the shield of the world where the Dragon of the Heaven protects, and Tokyo city are also where the Dragons of the Earth are staying, and destroy at first before whole the world.

Those characters in this movie are very wonderful because those characters are reasonable characters, especially Hinoto, a dreamwatcher, Kamui, one of the Dragons of the Heaven, even more! There is about, I guess almost 20 characters in this movie and every of them are good characters. Also later when I keep watching this movie, there's a girl, her name is Satsuki, her power is a cable of digital world, like fighting with the cable wires underground. I never thought a character with power like this.

Also reason why this was my favorite of all anime is because of the beginning when Kamui's mother killed herself to give the sword to Kamui. It's hard for me to explain, but I really like the cherry blossoms flying around, how Kamui and mother stare each other, and how his mother get the sword out of her stomach. It's just so beautiful.

All I can say, try it out! Don't be afraid. Also this has half sad and half good ending if you want to know.
