Plays like any average twin-stick shooter, just with minor rpg elements (leveling, upgrading guns). Does what it does well, but isn't anything special.. This is not a deep, or tactical game bt ant means. The clue really is in the title. An isometric twin stick shooter, the graphics obviously show their age, and the limited soundtrack can get repetative. However the controls are smooth and the performance in game is great. The RPG elements are very limited as is the weapon upgrade system, Despite the lack of sophistication, the game is fun, and there can be an insane amount of zombies on screen as well as the same amount of gore. in fact very few modern twin stick shooters get even close to the amount of AI on screen at the same time. All in all a great little time waster, with a decent campaign as well as a survival map and gun game, gives you a lot of fun for the money, even if it does geta bit repative towards the end.. This is a mindless awesome shoot-a-thon with tons of weapons, upgrades, character leveling, power-ups and alot more. Three game modes (campaign, survival & timed arenas) provide a small diversion from the obvious repetitive nature of gameplay. Though dont expect anything but graphics that were acceptable in the 80s. There are no achievements & no multiplayer to keep you playing this. However the game does have a certain base charm. If mowing down hordes with a shed load of weapons while never really getting challenged then this is a decent cheap game. Just dont expect anything too much.. Blast rats. Blast zombies. Blast everything that moves. Profit. Considering that you can get him for a really low price if you wait for the right bundle or steam sale it's a good option for old fashioned shoot'em up aficionados. For your money you'll get a well-rounded game that will satiate your thirst for blood and mayhem. Isometric view -Fallout style, which it gives the game a familiar feel for me- a character level system based on four stats, good amount of weapon choices and lots of rats and zombies to try them on. The musical aspect it's not very remarkable but the fast-paced action makes up for it, after all, we're here to fire shots and explode zombies, not to cultivate our souls. A as expected the mechanic it's pretty straightforward: kill and don't get killed, pick up money and upgrades, level up, buy more upgrades, repeat. Can be monotone of course, but generally when you start up these kind of games that's exactly what you're looking for: mind-numbing, intense action with lots of instant gratification elements.. nice little zombie shooter. totally worth the 5 bucks. slight problem with collision detection in the maps. doesn't harm gameplay very much. if you like zombieshooters.. Zombie Shooter fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on. good game. Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.49 Or Less During Sale. Get this game if you don't like old-school shooters and dislike blood usage in videogames.. Do not buy this game. For some people, the game will shut off when you die. Even if you buy med-kits or extra lives, they will not automatically deploy and as soon as your health hits zero, the games shuts off and you have to restart from Steam. This started happening to me after I got to level four, which took me more than two hours, so now Steam won't even give me a refund. I tried to explain that the glitch started happening after two hours into it, and now on levels 1, 2, and 3 when I die the game shuts off, but they did not care. This was a huge waste of money.. Zombie Shooter is a game that manages to be casual, not because of it's gameplay but because of it's length, a measly 1 hour campaign and two survival modes is all you get and all that you can do to try and extend it is to go for leaderboard scores. Offline leaderboards that is. The base gameplay of Zombie Shooter is not terrible in any way, it is just simple. It takes the top down shooter and removes everything about the shooting. While this wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing in other games Zombie Shooter doesn't add anything to fill the void. Not even content. What you are left with is a short, shallow game, fighting the same aliens over and over just in different colors. What little enjoyment I have gotten out of Zombie Shooter comes from the fact that it's a bundle game. If it had been a game I had purchased I would have been disappointed with every minute of it.
