Battlestations: Midway is an immense action game that drops players into massive air, sea, and undersea battles from Pearl Harbor to Midway. Players command massive fleet attacks and take direct, real-time, control of every plane, battleship, and submarine in the battle.

Battlestations: Midway's blends intense 3rd-person action with epic, large-scale naval combat and brings to life the great Pacific battles of the World War II. From the chaos of Pearl Harbor, through the Philippines, Java and the Coral Sea all the way to the epic Battle of Midway.

Innovative gameplay lets players take direct control of over 60 different warships, planes and submarines from a 3rd-person perspective. Players can instantly switch to and control nearly every vehicle in the battle.

The game features 11 large-scale campaigns with 12 bonus challenge missions.

half way through the last mission, 30 planes on both sides fight thousands of feet in the air and im in a boat shooting flak in the air hoping that i dont kill a friendly with flaming planes plumiting into the sea around me

10/10. First mission in the game the mission never starts I just end up driving around aimlessly in the harbor. Very medicore game that can't decide on a genre. Game is fun, but swings wildly to really hard to too easy. The controls leave much to be desired. Not so much in the control execution, but the control explanation.. Dont understand why i can write a review on this game, doesnt say ive owned it, cant play it either, and asks me to buy it, is it one of steams usual tricks when they remove games from your library? ive had a few go missing for no reason and steam only says "you have never owned this game, or we cant see that you have never had this game on your account". Got this game with the Eidos Anthology sale, thought I just play this game to kill some time. Turns out this game is really additive and pretty diffcult even on the easy setting.. KANCOLLE!!!. Why get a life when you can take one?. What a really fun game. I played this on the Xbox 360 when I was younger and thought it was stupid. After getting it on sale and playing it all again, I saw that younger me was wrong.

This game is a fun way to re-live a lot of the WW2 ship battles between the US and Japan. It lets you control all types of ship classes from PT boats all the way up to the huge carriers. You can swap between ships and planes (when you can control them) to be able to do more than just sit in the water.

The difficulty scales up through the campaign fairly well. It starts you out easy but by the end, the matches can go for more than 30 minutes a level.

I would recommend getting this game if you are into WW2 history and naval combat.
