The ICE 1 is a ground-breaking German high-speed train which delivers real performance for drivers around the world in Train Simulator.

The InterCity-Express, or ICE, was introduced by Deutsche Bahn in 1991 to run high-speed passenger services across a broad network linking such German cities as Frankfurt, Mannheim, Hamburg and Dusseldorf. With a top speed of 186mph (300kph), the ICE was a huge leap forward for passengers with journey times being reduced significantly. With 14 cars per set, these 410-metre long trains have been produced in 5 different versions since their introduction, with the later ICE –T and ICE-TD featuring tilting technology for faster cornering. However, the original ICE-1 sets have now been refurbished to include more refined interior fittings and electric power sockets for the passengers. All are air-conditioned and include special on-board boosters to improve mobile/cell phone reception while travelling. The ICE for Train Simulator recreates the original ICE-1 series of trains introduced in 1991 and includes accurate controls (including automatic drive and brake system), passenger view, moveable cab blinds and more.

For the price it is and for the train it is, I would recomend it if you want a affordable high-speed train. Only thing is that it is only quick drive but I guess for the price I can see why. It does sometimes go good with the Munich-Garmisch route considering that it is a high speed line and the ICE TD runs through it.. It will be amaizing if DTG add SiFa ,PZB ,LZB and fix AFB.. This one was one of the first high-speed trains what I wanted back when I bought Train Simulator 2012, it is an extremely early version, misses a lot of functionality what the new versions contain, I just really wish it would be fixed so that all LZB, PZB and SIFA functions would be functional on this train, without these functions you can't really do much with the train other then just driving it in casual mode. I don't recommend buying it unless it is on sale though.

I rate this DLC 6 out of 10.

Protip, if you want 300km\/h speed, set the two engines to single two vehicle consist and you will fly like some Airbus A380.. Pros:


Sound is almost 100% accurate, cab view and acceleration is perfect

No tilting script?
Passenger view is fairly messed up, but mods can easily sort that



This DLC is worth a lot more than \u00a35, so go ahead and buy it. there is no career drive,and yet it's say in game that we have career drive,when you try to play you get only quick drive.that's my commplain.on the other side ts game it's the best,ts2016.. Superb add on for the price. This addon is getting a bit old now, but it's still a good one, especially for the price that is lower than most newer locos. It lacks SIFA, PZB and LZB systems which are common in more modern german loco addons. The way AFB works is really strange. But despite those drawbacks I enjoyed it a lot. Although it's not mentioned in the description, you do get scenarios with the loco, 4 career and 8 standard ones for the Ruhr-Sieg line. I haven't found any problems with the passenger view, maybe it has been fixed.. Alongside the Chinese Railways CRH380D, the ICE 1 was one of the first high-speed electric trains I picked to go into my growing library of DLC, and let's just say that I wasn't disappointed!

From what I can tell, a lot of love was put into this addon, both inside and out - however, the near-complete lack of sound in the passenger view is somewhat odd, even though the real ICE 1 was designed to be very quiet. It seems very strange that you can't hear any internal sounds at all!

This train is also very fast, and gathers speed at a phenomenal rate. From what I gather, this appears to be very accurate to the real train's attributes. I often use this train to 'tour' new routes that I purchase, so that I can explore them prior to trying out the scenarios for that route!

A welcome inclusion is passenger views in both the Standard and First Class coaches, something which even now many DLC trains fail to include.

In conclusion, for a price of just \u00a34.99, the ICE 1 is a definite pick if you want an excellent DLC train at a budget price. I highly recommend this train!

8\/10. A weird passenger view, but it has a nice top-speed.. Nice Addon but a few issues.
1-The gangways between cars you can see through to the tracks.
2- No Scenarios
Over all it is nice. I got it for like $2.50 when itwas on sale & it was worth it.
