About This Game

Until I Have You, is a story-driven, fast-paced, retro-aesthetic platformer, engulfed in a Cyberpunk setting.

Driving you to the edge of your seat as you run n' gun through enemies, the game recounts a thrilling story of regret, love and corruption, in a city that’s gone haywire and just doesn't give a damn.

This is the story of the ARTIST, a talented assassin, who has worked many dirty jobs in a long and successful career. Finally heeding the pleadings of his wife, he has decided it's time to quit this ugly business and live a simple and peaceful life. However the ARTIST’s clients know he is irreplaceable, and are unwilling to allow the craftsman to hangup his tool belt. They send him this message by kidnapping his wife, Emily, and make it clear, retirement is not an option! The ARTIST is determined to get his wife back, and prepares himself for one last assignment. He understands to be successful he needs to go all out, and he procures a rare exoskeleton suit. Although this provides him with additional powers, it also can cause hallucinations and affect his judgment.

Try the demo first before actually buying this game. While the trailer may show a cyberpunk person just thrashing everything around him the goal is a whole lot more simpler than that. At least from what I have played however.

I was very skeptical at first. Now, it's grown onto me. So YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY.. I see a wonderful game with unique mechanics hiding in here but it crashes so frequently I cannot get past the first stage. The story seems well layered and the game is drenched in atmosphere and that's what frustrates me so much that I cannot recommend you get this title in its current state. I have a core I7 at 4 ghz, a GTX 960, and 16 GB of ram with a SSD but most importantly I have WINDOWS 10. Even in compatibility mode it will not make it 5 minutes without crashing. Sad. Also it doesn't support any logical resolutions for HD monitors, only wonky ones like 1280x1000 that clip off the bottom and top and leave two black bars on the side. But by all means give it a go if you're willing to work with the comunity here ot get it running because the developer is extremely open to assisting you.

After turning on directdraw and running in window mode all my issues are gone and I'm currently enjoying the hell out of this game. GET IT NOW WHILE ITS STILL ON SALE ITS A STEAL!. The game had a decent premise going for it, but the combat felt extremely dated. It felt like a true Sega Genesis game, as in this would've blown my mind if it came out in the early 90's.

If you can tolerate the combat, then you'll probably enjoy this one, as the story/voiceovers/artwork seem to be well-done. Per my experience, I can't recommend this to anyone I know...

:/. Great Indie Game, retro oldschool style, with 80's music and themes and boss fights with personality to them. The "Catch Her" level will be very memorable for some time.. Refunded. Slow loading, no skipping the cutscene, boring story/storytelling, poor engine quality. The game idea and design had potential but needs a different engine.. With no controller on hand, I played the game with keyboard controls. It handled well, but your character continues to move a bit after you release the button, giving you some undeserved deaths during the game's platforming sections. Levels are short and same-y, and the first boss was tedious and just all in all disappointing. There are also severe issues with screen-tearing, and an irritating bug I had that caused the dialogue to auto-skip even with my hands off of the controls. In a story-based game, that's just not acceptable.. Great atmosphere.
